Actually, Dad has been looking for a new paperwood truck... ;D

One of these with the bed removed (a simple enough op) and bolsters welded onto the frame would be just the ticket!

It's got the ability, and I guess you've driven one, the low end is tough..used one in Korea to pull a 5 ton out of the mud..ear protection is a must..they are loud

BTW, the one in my group was a '67 reg..we called it the hippy...24 years and still running  :D

Sounds like ours... we took one to Iraq that was AT LEAST that old! But it was reliable as all hell and it pulled our 5 ton wrecker 20 miles after BOTH fuel pumps went out on it!

My Best Friends Dad Got one not to long ago. 1968 model with 8000 original Miles. Needless to say he hates the DMV , so when they asked him for the ViiN number, instead of telling them there isn't one, He Smirked and Siad I don't know.

Had the lady crawling around his truck for hours.

ROFL... that would be something that my dad would do to make up for all the tickets that he had to pay when he was younger...

It's not HIS fault that his old 442 could run 140, after all, it was the evil execs att GM that were trying to promote street racing!

JC  I knew a Jim Carney in the USAF, many years ago..worked SATCOM and PMEL, same as me...any relation?  About 5'9", dirty blond hair, drank San Miguel like it was pop

Ahh well, you never know...been working here at Offutt AFB for the last 11 since I retired, and have run into more former co-workers than I did in 21 years in the USAF...like they say, once you get Offutt, you don't...

Mike..take care, if you see my son (SSgt Buike), smack him in the head and tell him to call home once in a while...

LOL... will do, but I hope not to go anywhere but to work and school for a while. Uncle Sam has kept theis Rebel Step-child hoppin' and poppin' for the last 3 years... now I need to finish my degree after 8 years of trying!
