That's not funny.  I was very dissapointed when they cancelled Farscape.  It's a great show. :carmen:

So far so good.  Fun to watch, kinda enjoy all the murphy's law stuff that goes on, none of this magical solution BS that happens in other sci fi series.
So nice to see this rather than that remake of BSG crap they keep trying to sell.

Also, something I pickep up on in the movie- peace keepers are actually humans, picked up off of Earth some 10,000-15,000 years ago (how ever long 12,000 cycles are) and used as the strong arm of that species they're trying to rebuild.
They just opened up a whole new realm for a sci fi show.  They could have the peacekeepers back when they were still good guys, and some doozies of some outer space wars and stuff.
Man, it's too bad I have class tomorrow night and won't be able to watch it.  Time to set the VCR timer.

What the frell is wrong with y'all?  John Chrichton is the smartest, sexiest, most sarcastic hero in any universe.  He makes Jim Kirk look like a boy scout who couldn't find his way out of a wet paper bag.  Aeryn Sun is so fricken awesome I almost wish I was straight so I could appreciate her even more, and the rest of the gang's wackiness is pure frelling pleasure.

Dargo, his mixture of seriousness and wackiness is just perfect...and that TONGUE of his...wow.  I for one really frelling enjoyed the episode where him and Chrichton became cartoons and did a great imitation of the roadrunner and coyote.  I mean, how many shows can even think about making fun of themselves by making a cartoon episode?

For anyone who has watched the series somewhat faithfully, you'd know the John/Aeryn romance is never convenient, and there's ALWAYS something that gets in the way of them advancing to the next level.  Who could forget when that freak 'twinned' Chrichton?  Two identical John Crichton, both of them so EXACTLY alike there was no way to tell the difference at ALL.  Then the crew got separated with some on Moiya and some on Talon.  Aeryn was with one of the John's on Talon and ended up frelling him until he died destroying a Scaran dreadnought.  When the two crews reunited with the surviving John Crichton, she had a lot of problems dealing with the living John, but eventually fell in love with him again (or admitted she still loved him since he was the same person).  Then she finds out she's pregnant and things go downhill again...

Finally, in the last episode, we got to see John propose marriage and accept.  I still remember watching that finale and smiling at how frelling perfect it was, the two of them in that rowboat on the water world, the way Dargo and Rigel described the scene to blind Chiana...and then they were blasted away.  I screamed as loud as Dargo did in that episode...and ended up breaking that television when I kicked it off the stand...

Oh, and the overriding reason to enjoy Farscape...MUPPETS, MUPPETS, MUPPETS.  Rigel is frelling funky as hell.  I mean, his pomposity alone is hilarious, but add three stomachs that must be constantly kept full, his farting helium all the time, and his wonderful sense of timing all make him the most hilarious alien character in a while.

Dargo's tendency to bring Crichton down with a few well-placed words, or a grunt make him a wonderful foil for John's constant harangues.  Sikozu provides that comic relief of the hopelessly lost genius.  Grandma..well she's pretty wacky and ugly as hell.  I loved that scene when she first hooked up with Crichton and crew.  She distracted those guards by doing some strip-tease dancing and used her third eye to make the guards think she was a beautiful young woman.  Meanwhile Crichton and Dargo snuck up behind them with rocks and knocked them over the head.  John and Dargo didn't see the glamour she used, just the real her, and the boys' faces when she finished the strip-tease was absolutely priceless.

The enemies...got to love them as well.  Scorpius/Harvey are great foils for John Crichton, both as enemy and as reluctant ally.  The tension between them is wonderfully perfect.  Crase was pretty damn good, and the Scarans are really good as bad guys.

I greatly enjoyed the opening battle sequence...I've been wanting to see something like that for a long, long time.  Then there was the sight of the command carrier through the clouds..absolutely wonderful.  If anyone thought the wedding would just happen...well you don't know Farscape.  I fully expect the mini-series to end with the wedding being interrupted by...wormhole aliens sending Ben Sisko to pull Crichton out so he can save DS 9, only to have a First One show up and kidnap John to save Babylon 5, and then we get to see a miniseries of wormhole aliens and First Ones competing over Crichton while he tries to get away from both. (If you doubt that COULD happen...you don't know Farscape).

the dream sequences are explained best in the series.  Scorpius, the dude in black leather, figured out chrichton had wormhole knowledge, so he implanted a "nueral clone" into chrichton's brain, that routes through chrichton's brain for the knowledge scorpius wants, and has some transmission capabilities.  It's one of the torture things chrichton is very unhappy about and he can't really get rid of him.
That's why chrichton calls him Harvey- he's not really real, he's just in chrichton's head.

I think it showed that he was connected to the wormhole parallels and such.  I never really watched the series, but I watched this miniseries.  The Judge might be disappointed, then again, maybe he won't be.  I don't think any of the girls are that pretty though, just so he knows.

Interesting end however...thought it would come to something like that...it probably wraps up the series nicely from what I can tell of the series plot from the miniseries.

I will point out that nobody actually saw Dargo die.

He was on a planet with a bunch of transports, and so what if we saw the doc get shot in the head - for all we know, his species can survive that, and he patched Dargo up, and they stole another transport - or someone took Dargo prisoner after he became unconscious.

Never count anyone out on Farscape - even if you see them die gruesomely.

i agree that dargo probably isn't dead.

i was a little upset at the "marvel-comics"-esque way in which chriton and airen where brought back from the dead...after i got over that i was starting to like the mini-series. there were some great little jokes in there. (i especially liked harvey doing the dr. stranglove thing and the message in the mirror thing)

there were some pretty big plot holes though that i didn't really like. (what a gestation period anyway)
chriton really needs to use some "lube" on his medical tools...ewww...

i really liked the whole birth in the hottub image. that was great. well filmed and everything.
i yelled out loud when dargo "died".

i loved the whole speech on moiya about the new dargo, "this is your playground" it brought a tear to my eye.

i'm not sure chriton should have stopped the wormhole from expanding. i don't trust that peacekeeper bitch or the scarans ass#$*$s. i am SOOOO glad that airen killed that scaran bitch.

i can't help but relate "phantom of the opera guy" with c-3po sorry. heh he gets bitch-slapped enough.

overall i like it and expect that we will see more farscape movies like this, like they did with babylon 5. i give this one about an 85%

He had little choice if the galaxy was to survive.  Moiya was going to go down the wormhole before either of the two commanders' flagships.  Either he believed they were ready to talk peace, or everyone in the galaxy died.

Like I said in another forum...

IMHO D'Argo is dead as a doornail. Sad really I think he was the Leviathan anchor on the show and next to John was my favorite character. The thing that convinces me that D'Argo is dead is that John and Aeryn named their son "D'Argo". Bring those two characters back and things are going to get confusing to the general audience.

As for Sikozu and Grunchlik my guess is that they got off the planet before it went boom. Grunchlik may have called Sikozu a "fool" but he was looking at her like a newfound birthday present for above. So my guess is that Grunchlik took Sikozu safely off the planet in a transport just before the planet and D'Argo became wormhole food.

So my guess is that Sikozu will come back in any new installments of Farscape. Sikozu will wait until Grunchik fixes her up and then Pummel Grunchik into the ground and leave at the first opportunity. It's not like Sikozu needs D'Argo to take care of the likes of Grunchik. This fits in well, since Scorpius was not happy about the peace treaty that was signed and will likely cause trouble. Scorpius may need help from Sikozu, as the Peacekeepers will not freely allow Scorpius to violate that treaty. Hence we see the return of Scorpius and Sikozu as a couple.

It looks like my guess the Peacekeeper Wars = Season of Death - Part Jool shaped up pretty well.   ;D

Hmmm, just watching it again tonight, and I must say I liked the second part very much.  Overall, the two hours was Farscape at its best.

We lost D'Argo, and we lost Harvey.  I'm actually going to miss the Harvey dream sequences, especially the way he always put a cigarrette in John's mouth.  That got a smile from me every single time.

John's love of the number 'three' was strong, with the third attempt at the wedding being the successful one...and the birth of their son was just PERFECT.  Aeryn turning to John and asking him if they could get them out of there was wonderful, as was their rush out of the place.  Probably my favorite moment of their escape from the planet was Aeryn telling the Scaran bitch "It's a boy, in case you were wondering." right after Aeryn had shot her in the head.  (especially since the Scaran had told Aeryn she'd never be reunited with ther baby in the first part.)

Oh, and her "now you cry?" when the baby cried AFTER the shooting was over and just after John left...warm fuzzy feelings all over.  Okay, if there was ever a woman who could possibly hold my attention...it would have to be Aeryn Sun (not the actress, the character she plays).

The Wormhole Weapon...well, the only concern I have is that if they think Crichton still has the knowledge...both sides might want to kill him so it could never be used again...meanwhile both sides would likely go to war again if they find out he cannot repeat the weapon.  Either way, John's still going to be a hunted man.

D'Argo's death...it'd be one that I would choose as well.  I just hope it is one that sticks.  Oh, and his death scene..."John, there's just one thing I want...Chiana"  John:  "I understand.  I'll take care of her..." D'Argo:  "John, GO AWAY.  I want to talk to Chiana."

Had me laughing while wanting to cry over D'Argo leaving us.

D'Argo Jr. now has some very big shoes to fill.
