I absoloutley loved X Com and it's sequels.    Well, except for X Com interceptor, which was X Com meets Wing Commander.

I was very disappointed by the second X-Com, Terror from the Deep.   >:( It's nothing but the first one with different skins, and was not worth the full price Microprose charged for it.   All the weapons and technologies were the same, just with different names and images.    It would have made a good expansion, but that's it.

Between that and the unplayable civNET, I stopped buying Microprose games.

Too bad.  CivNet was a mess, although it usually worked ok for me.  Civ II multiplayer gold was the real deal however...

Man I love this game.  Too bad though, for some reason it won't run on this computer, I think it's due to my graphics card.  On my kids old Aptive well, it'a different story and I have them hooked.

One of the classic all time games.  Proof that a few people and a dream can make something that can endure, even in the vast space of nothing that we meet one another on.

Of course, i'm more of a Master of Magic fan, but hey, there's nothing like getting mindzapped to get your squad's butt in gear.
