Paris Class Finished
« on: October 09, 2004, 05:12:50 pm »

I think it needs windows along the rim of the hull but this is it as it appears on the schematic....

What do you guys reckon... thow some windows on.... or leave em off?

Leave 'em off, for one it's a dedicated warship and two it's too small. Looks good but somehow the proportions look  abit off, maybe it's the perspective but everything looks a bit 'bulbous' and the saucer seems not wide enough across; espcecially on the front view. It's probably just the perspecitve. One thing I do notice that I know is off - the running lights should be red on the left and green on the right, that's a federation standard IIR. Other than those small gripes it's a very nice model. The textures are also good, remind me of Andurils' stuff (that's a complement).
If I determine the enemy's disposition of forces while I have no perceptible form, I can concentrate my forces while the enemy is fragmented. The pinnacle of military deployment approaches the formless: if it is formless, then the deepest spy cannot discern it, nor the wise make plans against it.

I like it!! ;D

Only thing I really noticed, is the primary is too thin from the top view; the rest looks good, so just "squash" that. ;D

Great texturing!!

A superior looking job. Worthy of a place among the vessels of that era.

The only thing that looks odd is the bridge dome. Probably accurate to the art work but why is the darned thing so yellow? If it is translucent wouldn't it have a different appearance? Easily fixed by those of us who tweak our textures, though.
