I recorded it over the weekedn and watched it just now. Wasn't bad at all, hopefully things we get less retarted after the Temporal Cold war angle is completely wrapped up.
That's my hope. The episode was good, given the starting point that Coto
had to start from. (The scenes from last season's finale)
The weird part is, people have been trying to say that Enterprise doesn't make sense vis a vis TOS because the timeline has been alterred by the time war. This is a theory I've dismissed, as I chalk it up -- accurately I think -- to the fact that Brannon and Braga dismiss TOS, take pride in doing their own thing, and also don't know their backside from a whole in the wall.
However, look what we have now. The new writer/producer promises to "finish" the time war story in the first two episodes. He drops hints that this might restore the timeline. And when the time war is concluded in episode 2, he then promises to do real TOS prequel episodes and to convert the Vulcans back into something we might recognize. Why? Because he loves TOS.
The people I've dismissed may be proven correct after all.
