Discussion: SpaceShipOne and the X-prize claimed
« on: October 07, 2004, 08:33:22 pm »

Congratulations to the SpaceShipOne team on winning the X-prize

greetings all,

i hope to spark some good replies with this topic. i very excited about the x-prize since i first heard about it and i was pleasantly surprised to see it won already.

i watched the special on discovery on the spaceshipone team from mohave. now we all know that that many zero's on one check is a heck of an incentive to go for space but i believe that there is much more involved here than just money.

i am glad to see that private citizens and companies can take up the slack of our dismally outdated spaceprogram. i believe that we have to get into space and soon.

what i would like to know from all of you is:
how did the x-prize affect you?
where are we headed next?
should there other types of x-prizes for other difficult achievements?
what are you thoughts on the world wide space program

let's see where this goes!

btw: i'm first in line for going up as a passenger...well. first behind the extensive list already created by the SpaceShipOne team and family members ;)
