OK Mozilla Firefox experts

I can get into Scottrade, look at portfolio, news and stuff, but the live stream stock data quotes in the different portfolios I have set up will NOT load as it is IE based. Does IE have a complete install package as I've deleted some files already? If they do, can I switch to IE for Scottrade then at my whim switch over to Firefox for other internet stuff? If not then I will have to just look at quotes, which are 15 minutes late, on yahoo, stock by stock, what a pain in the arse!  >:(

I'm going to e-mail Scottrade and tell them they need a Firefox based applet for live stream quotes.

Who in hades designed Thunderbird? I cannot for the life of me figure out what they want in order for me to get e-mail stuff. What do they think, that everyone is a PC guru?  >:(

Did You Grab the Flash/Shockwave applet for Firefox?

Sometimes, Very rarely, there will be a site that Firefox won't load, If that's the case, I just use IE.

Also, if your site uses popups, you may need to have Firefox let them through as Firefox blocks all, well at least the vast majority, of popups. That is one of the main features of this browser.

oh, and as for Thunderbird, what are you trying to do exactly? What email service are you trying to connect to?

Thanks for all the help guys, I'm finally back online, PC is running ok, and I switched everything back over to IE and the new service pack and security pack, took over 3 frigging hours to load all that stuff, but it is pretty cool. I will admit my man in black, Spycatcher, and Norton 2005 LOVE to eat up RAM, I'll get with Seth about specs for this dinosaur P3 and get it maxed out on RAM. I'm supposed to get my P4 back since my ex's boss is giving her a laptop, who knows when that will be. I would buy a top of the line machine but if you look at NVEC stock it is on fire AND they got dibs on patent for nano memory, which means nano PCs can't be too far away.

Again, thanks for the help, but I'm no PC guru, I just want to be able to communicate and search and keep track of stuff without some knucklehead messing with the system. I guess we will have to wait for more sites to accept Firefox as most are IE based.
