Charlotte Oktoberfest 2004
« on: September 26, 2004, 08:50:55 pm »
To any SFCer's in the Charlotte area....

I will be working the Charlotte Oktoberfest this year on October 9th.

You will be able to find me at the North Coast Brewery booth serving Red Seal Ale, Blue Star Wheat, & Scrimshaw Pilsner.

I will have a hotel room at the local Hilton (I think that is it) which is supposedly in walking distance to the festival.

So I will have a room available if you can't drive home. ;D

Also... one of my favorite places to eat back home, Quaker Steak & Lube, has recent opened near the race track.

I am thinking of trying to hit there for some wings either Friday or Saturday if anyone is interested.

Hmmmmm.........beeeeerr!!

Sounds cool Bearslayer.   I'll need to check and if that is the weekend my family is having a get together in Knoxville, TN.   I'll let ya know about that very shortly.

If I am going to be in town, I'll PM you my mobile phone number so you, me and Chuut could coordinate.

One thing about the restaurant you mentioned, if it is out by the racetrack, that's about 15-20 from downtown Charlotte.   Not that that fact should stop you, just wanted  you to be aware.

Talk at ya later,

Agave

Looked at the map on the link, its not downtown but down near the art galleries on Davidson street.  But not to far from the Flying saucer..... ;D  That place has 80 beers on tap and 120 in the bottle, not to mention Mary the waitress/beer goddess......there is something about Mary......actually 2 things...... ;D

Agave lets round up Dave for this too!  I can meet ya after work on Saturday!

Of course if you wanted something to do the other night I can get ya in the local Men's Club for free, if you don't mind waiting for me to get off work (10:30ish), it is just south of downtown (5 min).

Good news!!   Family get-together on weekend of Oct. 16th.

Unlike when Maverick visited (unannounced, I might add), I will be here to hang out with ya Bearslayer.

Mucho cool.

I'll PM you my mobile number sometime this week.

Hmmmmm..........beeeerrrrr.

Agave, cool, will be waiting.

Chuut, do you know who the manager is at that FS?

At one point, there was a very hot, hot, hot, female manager working at the one here in Raleigh, I know she was promoted to the one in Charlotte... just wonder if she is still there.

They will probably have a both there like they did this weekend.

Oh, yeah!  Some of them 'Beer Goddesses' are screamin' hot, ain't they?

Got message, and just replied to it.

Hmmmm.....souvenirs.   Mucho cool.   I still have some sampling glasses from an old Beer and Wine festival where me and a buddy put quite a dent in their supplies.   It's amazing how many 8 oz glasses it takes to get wasted.   Hehehehe.

Looking forward to Octoberfest weekend.

Hey Agave why don't you and Dave take up Bear on his generous offer and I'll meet you guys later that night after I get off work.

Maybe we can meet up with him Friday night after I get off as well.
