Hi Luc
That particular model was never released as an SFC mod. But Desty Nova made up a really nice fast cruiser that comes
close to that one.

This is the fast crusier. It has a maaping issue. See the seems on top of the nacels. Needs to be remapped as a cyclinder. Also I made the hull markings too light I feel. IN this photo I incresed contrast. It is what it is. This is a learning process you know. Basically I hacked up Azel's Soulwolf pretty bad but the base textures are there and you can rework them as you wish. I could have used that photo when I was doing the textures  :o

Hey I got the buzzards right. :)

Don't listen to Guest :P; the TOS Soulwolf, which doubles as a dandy fast cruiser, is mapped and modeled just fine, I have already used it in-game, and its just fine.

No They're Desty Nova's releases. I've got quite a few on my hard drive plus alot that have to be unzipped to an area that I keep
all these great models at. By the way Desty if you see this are you going to do a large SFB freighter?  Take care all

This is true in SFC3, due to SFC2 engine though, this model shows seems in OP at leats on my machine. But no one cares because TOS and SFB players are real finicky about models and canon items. If a photon tube is off by a micrometer they would spot it easily and not use the model.

A Fast Cruisers's warp generates more power.  20% more, in SFB, in fact. However, the actual size of the warp engine is no larger. They run in a sorta 'unstable' matrix, called "hot-warp". Why blue buzzards, dunno.. but it does make it different, and 'blue' is a higher energy color than 'red'.

Makes it look cool, err, hot. ;)

Also note that on the first fast cruiser that luc showed us there are 3 intercoolers on the aft of the Warp engine. probably to dissapate more energy
I'd suggest using the Xship warp engines on The TMP version this could  count or say an ln68 warp engine with some texture differences would be good also.  ;D

Hi Luc
Very nice work might I suggest that the internal coloring on the warp engines be change to represent a hot warp version.
looking forward to its release.  ;D

Already done (purpleish). I just haven't made any recent WIP screenshots. I also made the warp glow on both sides, which would make sense to me for a fast cruiser generating 20% more warp power than a standard cruiser.

I feel that this saucer and this texture would look far better for a CF. I think mated to a slightly modified Khaliban hull with bluish/purple highlights to match the saucer and warp glow would do nicely.

EDIT: Know what? That actually looks just like the Khaliban model and texture... That'd be perfect.

Btw, has anyone ever made a break mod for the khambatta and khaliban?

Your saucer texture is too busy. Tone it down mb?

Have you seen gany's Ticonderoga? I think the ductworks messed with it a bit. It had glows on both sides. Looked real good.

Course you want something really special, go grab the shortened warps on the Banting. They'd really give you the speed demon look.

It's good work. I assume that the target is to make the best possible representation of the Starfleet Battles SSD's. If that's the measuring stick then it is close to what it needs to be.  How much room for artistic license do you want to allow? I'd imagine with the number of kitbashes you are producing that it's too much to try to reinvent too many of the models. I do wish sometimes that the artwork for SFB had been better executed.

About the only thing I think I've noticed is the bridge module could stand to be recentered.
