3ds max problem

3ds max seems to turn itself off when I move the axis windows.... only happens now and again.... but it did it today after I had been working on a mesh for 6 hours and now its bloody gone... any ideas guys? >:(

Never had that happen, but...save often. Found out max can wreak havoc on a mesh if it shutsdown while working on it. The recover file usually has errors in it, so I try to save when ever I finish a part.

Seems like I had that problem with an older rendidtion of Max.  What version of Max are you using?
