There is a work around for the NSM. You make the entire romulan race a donor race for the 2 races that you choose to use. The carriers that are donated from another race still won't have them but this way line ships and pf tenders would still have NSM's

It worked on the limited test I did. I just took the KRCS and donated it to both the Klingon and Federation. Both were able to drop an NSM.

I figured if you can donate fighters and pf's then why can't you donate NSM also

Sounds interesting at this point, IRIS would of course be involved. The 2 active members, perhaps I could lure our missing reserve member away from NWN long enough to gain his interest, it is for the good of the empire.

DH you do realize this leaves the Kestrel side with no CL's to speak of right? In fact, the whole Kestrel side is in dire need of ships.

If it's Kestrels and Eagles vs Hawks, it should balance out AFAICT. Is there an era in particular that comes to mind?

It would be late Era, same starting year as the SFB Romulan Civil War.

Taking Rom out of the choice, the easiest to see UIs are (in descending order)

Gorn (but I'm biased )
ISC
Lyran
Fed

Then, in the getting harder category,
Gorn (when I'm feeling honest)
Hydran
Klingon

I'd choose between ISC, Lyran, and Fed. I'd lean towards ISC and Fed, just to make the distinction on the map more stark.

The Mirak have the best UI in the game. You simply don't know what art is Mr "soon-to-be-a-nice-set-of-shoes" Scipio.

(got to agree, the Fed/Lyran would be very distinctive. If you want three races, then F/I/L would probably work best)

ISC wouldn't be bad except for the sounds involved,

Gorn, Hydran, and Klingon are so dim like the lights are flickering and about to go out. Then again with races that are so damn ugly to look at I can't blame the designers for that....

Lyran and Fed are not bad by any account.

Mirak has the best sounds, and colors that are easy on the eyes (hence the Kzin nutters are able to stay on so long)

I like Rom alot too but it has been excluded.

I would like the 2 races to be fighter races since I will be including carriers and Plasma fighters so Lyran is out. it is just much easier this way that it is to have a double donor setup (one for PFs and NSM, one for fighters).

Something about Red versus Blue just seems so, right!
