Karnak you Freaking Bastard! #$%^&@$*

I just want all of you to know how much of a sick devious bastard, Karnak is...

On Bonk's Classic War server, I flew a co-op mission with Bonk, his FD7 and F5D along with my K7RB into Karnaks 'Dockyard Raid'. Whenever you see this mission... PAY ATTENTION TO THE BRIEFING!. We didnt.

You can skip this next part and just be wary of the warning I have given you all... Or read on... *Spoilers*

Being the drafter I asked Bonk why I had 2x fleet control allies (turned out a sick joke that it wasnt enough)... was it because he had 2x ships? I scanned the system, a medium armed planet encircled by Def Stations and plenty of FRD's, truly a traget rich environment, but not one that posed any problem of taking because it was only defended by a G-DDL and a G-BF... Yeah right..

We mowed thru the system defenders and after we captured a couple FRD's (armed) and blew some DEF SATs up, I settled in for a nice easy ride (prolly with huge pp reward) on capturing the remaining FRD's, DEFSATs and the Planet....

The rest... Well, lets just say that you either need to be a damned good captain in a big ship, lucky, both or read the @#$%^& mission briefing! Bonk lost his escort, I lost my Cruiser...

Dangnabbit! It happened again, same mission, I guess I'm a slow learner.  ???  I lost my FD7 this time, happily follwing along behind Dizzy's SUA at spd 13 with no weasel, what's that behind me? Oh, just about six billion plasma S... nothing to worry about... BOOM!  :brickwall:

Ii's funny I had those missions (DockRaid and DockEscort) on the SFB-OP server and they refused to come up, I guess they like these settings for some reason.

Bonk, you're a dumbass! ;)

That 1st Dockraid had your FD7's ticket punched. Just took 2x times to get it.

Here's some advice next time you fly against plasma, as if you need me to remind you, go faster! :P

EDIT: Course... you were just returning the favor from the 1st game, huh?

It's not a bad mission. I finished it in a L-CWLP. Of course I was in on the klingon-Federation border and caping Fed small ships to help me, I ignored planet and went straight for dockyards after caping first wave of opponents. ;D

Dont get me wrong, the mission is genius. For once, it's not a mindless blow em up when you see em type. You have to plan out what you are going to do to successfully complete your objective. I have played this mission multiple times and have found surviving the 1st wave, let alone popping more than 2x FRD's is more akin to the Kobayashi Maru than any other mission I have yet seen on the dyna.

This is a marvellous mission.

I thought a P v P match was a Kobayashi Maru mission for you Dizzy...... ;D

hmmmmm some of this sounds like deja vu.

last server me and shadowlord wound up agianst a planet, with def platforms, docks, and errrrr two star bases......and to my surprise multiple plasma's crushing my c7.

took us awhile but we beat it..........of course my c7 limped out of there LOL.

I'm really starting to like karnak LOL

Actually, that was Evil Dave's super hard Planet Assault. (Capitol A there in Assault)

This mission, afaik, is a raid. I dont know if it is possible to own it and win by conquering. Worth a try. Few Karnak missions are as difficult as ED's PA. That is just an uber one. ;)
