TOS Feds
« on: September 08, 2004, 03:17:24 pm »

Created these models today..... constellation 8000 polys is the biggest, texturing and converting them tommorow.  ;D

Also using the basic shapes I created today I can make quite a few varients which is cool!!!

You made all of these, in one day? :o :o :o :o :o All I can say is I hope you have more days with nothing better to do :P ;D

You should try a backwards evolution of the TMP constelation class, and perhaps the cour de lion battleship. I think Either of those vessels would look great as tos era ships as well.

You have a good idea there StarForce.  I wouldn't mind seeing some TNG ships in an TOS style, like the Galaxy or the Sovereign, just for kicks you know.

Holy cow!  Those are great.  I can't wait to see them with textures.

Any chance of looking towards the other races (like Orions?)

Wow.... thanks guys... Yes I made them in one day... it was quite easy as I made the nacelles saucer and hull seperate, then I can just stick them together in different combinations to make individual ships in minutes... As for the textures... I am a little stuck... How far back should I take them do you guys reckon.... original 1701 type or 1701 a ????

I am planning on creating atleast 10 or more varients, one shaped like the akira etc, then I'll start on some Orions if their is demand for it? As for the Roll back of TNG era ships..... Urm..... I'm not too sure If I undertand what your asking for ??? sorry!!!!

Again thanks for all your kind comments, when finished they will be fully converted to SFCIII with breakmodels and stuff and will be available for DL at my usual place over in Markyd and Grinches Yards over in the STGD Shipyard, If I get time I'll place them in BC also!

Markyd, what I meant by the rollback of TNG ships is that I would like to see your concept of what a TNG ship would have looked like if it had been built back in the TOS era.  Someone made a TOS era Defiant, and it looked pretty good.  Not sure if you've seen this particular ship though.

yea not all ships look good that way. the fan designed tmp cour de lion will probably work as will picards constelation. But the galaxy and sov are all based of the connie anyways.

Man, those are AWESOME!!! How are you going to do the textures- more TOS looking or TNG?
