My understanding is that you can challange the House Leader for control of the house.  So if you don't care for the leader who drafts you, just assassinate him plain and simple, what could be more Klingon, problem solved.

i like the way you think...i knew there was a reason i liked you...

Hmmm...

If you're interested, I volunteer...

The house led by the expatriate Fed and Veltrassi...

That could make things quite... interesting... :D

Thanks Julin... you were just a fraction too late though, someone else got in before you, but thanks anyway, I liked the sound of what you said.

Julin:

LB5 was really nice on the eyes...both klink and gorn were on the other side...together...what a nightmare it is when the two are foes...do you know how many times i thought i was headed to a klingon hex....to find out its gorn....bah....ironic though cos i got screwed yet again in LB5 with mirak being allied to neutral hexes...bad pun...but for some of us...the two look the same...i literaly had to right click to follow the mirak lines...and ya i hit a couple nuetrals...not too mention i still cannot tell the difference between klink and gorn ship icons on the dyna map... :P

Let me guess, you're partially colorblind too... :D

Cause what you're talking about, especially with the Mirak / neutral situation, is what I've been living with all this time too...  Although I can usually discern the Klink from the Gorn...

How can you stand looking at that blood red interface though?  I couldn't make it through RDSL1, GW1, RDSL2 before my eyes threatened to give out with GW2...

Actually, I like the Klingon interface, but then red is my favourite colour. The Klingon engine noise is the best in the game.

partially? LMAO

try red and brown...

brown and green...

blue and purple...

the blood red interface is a weakness...theres no better place in the universe then within the Empire's borders...or the conquest of feeding for more...

So you're basically fully colorblind...

Ouch...

It takes a lot to play when you can barely see the interface...

I salute you...

Naaa keep it a open draft w/o allowing peeps to pick teams...makes for a random mix of the usual players.  I would suggest 4 teams w/ the leaders being natural rivals - pals.  Makes for a competative server.  Example:  Nail -vs- Krueg -vs- Bear -vs- Jinn.  Assign 2nd in command to each house leader of normal opposite race.  Example Krueg and DH -vs- Bear and Mazzeppa...would make for some pretty exciting battles.  Us expendable extras could fill out the houses in an open draft.  If guys won't play for or with who they are assigned...well then tough nuts.  Klinks would simply kill who they didn't respect...they wouldn't whine about it :)

Another option is the you die your dead rule.  A klink that dies is relagated to FF for the remainder of the server...allowing others to lead the clan.

A nice Klingon sub-twist to this might be that if Klink A and Klink B discussed Klink C behind the scenes and didn't think they were worthy to lead the clan...they might go into battle w/ them...only to allow them to tragically die...allowing them to assume command of the house in their stead.  Add's a nice klingon twist I think...and will make everyone think about more than just winning the server.

Timing for me though is very bad, as I'll be in Wisconsin at a new job the 22nd...too bad...I was looking forward to assasinating my house leader if he showed ANY weakness.  I should be back online towards the end of September though....w/ ack dial-up.  Once I buy a 2nd house in October - November I'll be back on cable.  I've tried this game on dial up......really bad.....sigh.
