Theron injured during filming

03.09.2004

Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron has been hurt while making a science fiction film in Germany, halting production until she recovers.

A spokeswoman for Paramount Pictures, who gave no details of Theron's injury, said only, "She was doing a lot of her own stuntwork."

Shooting of the film Aeon Flux, an action movie by Peter Chung based on the animated science fiction television series that aired on the MTV television channel, is expected to be held up for a few weeks.

Starring alongside the 29-year-old South African, who has lived in the United States for about 10 years, is New Zealander Marton Csokas, Jonny Lee Miller, Sophie Okonedo, Amelia Warner, Caroline Chikezie and Frances McDormand.
