You need Ship Edit for Orion Pirates.Ship Edit EAW is only good for that game not OP.You can get Ship Edit OP at www.nightshoft.net/effhg/ just click the little ship at the bottom.I hope this what you are for if not please rephrase your question.

Age...he allready has OP ship edit...

IIRC...you need to first start EAW ship edit...then start OP edit..and it should load the UI's...

Also...I believe that the OP ship edit needs to be installed within the Ship edit folder itself...

I'll re-read the instructions and get back in the AM...

What Crim said is correct. That doesn't explain why EAW ShipEdit isn't working though. It will still work with OP, within it's limits for races etc...

Don, sorry if this is a dumb Q, but are you loading a shiplist into ShipEdit and not getting UIs?

If you are loading a shiplist and aren't getting UIs, is it a stock shiplist or a modded one?

Have you tried loading a ftrlist and do the ftr UIs work?
If Romulans aren't cowards, then why do they taste like chicken?

i have uninstall ship edit for eaw, now i try to reinstall it and i get the this message: c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt, the rest is in french and  most of you will not understand it and it something about dos, i have dowload ship edit from the download link on the left and try it and i get the same message, since i reinstall my stuff after i format my hd that i got problem with shipedit, also about shipedit and eaw, in shipedit for eaw there no add on it but it the game i got ship that have it and its working fine, so i was wondering why is there no add on the shipedit for eaw since the add working fine on the game?.

I would reinstall it all over agian.I mean the game aswell yes a clean fresh install. Then go over to the D2 forum and download the Orion Pirates Enhancement Pack as it has both Ship edit EAW and OP.This means a complete fresh install unistall the game and delete the game folder and reinstall.I would just follow the directions about the Enhancement Pack2.0 poster Pestalence. You will like this Don.I hope this helps.

well i don't need the Enhancement Pack since my shiplist is custom made, the only problem is shipedit, it did work when i isntallthe shipedit for eaw and i install the patch for op then i wanted to install just shipedit for eaw but i got problem when i try to install it, well i will need to check because my sister have a lot of stuff for the sims ont the hd, so i will see if i can uninstall both eaw and op.

I would get if I where you but if not I believe what you have to do is unistall both shipedits EAW and OP then install both of them and follow what Rod said below.I wouldn't worry about yor modified shiplist make it up agian.I have lost several this is if you get the Enhancement Pack I would go over and read about it in the D2 forum. There is another option save your shiplist somewhere in Docs that is if it you are patched up to 2552.I hope this helps.

You will have make sure all the fields are fill in when seeing the UI.There sould be no unfilled fields when you open the shiplist up in shipedit. If soyou may have to right in the shiplist.txt and add it then save.I hope this helps.

If I remember correctly, only the ShipEdit for SFC2 needed to be installed.  The OP (beta) was an add on that was placed into the same folder.  (been a while since I messed with all this and really rusty on it)  There were a few UI's that were missed in the first OP add on that were added in later.

As to "installs" for the OP add on, that might have been done by someone else "out there".  What really happens is that the ShipEdit for SFC2 install places some items in the registry.  The OP add on then uses that same registry info to operate.  The French stuff you are talking about is really interesting as there is no French in ShipEdit.  Sounds like you might have something corrupted there.

If installed to the stock default location the path should be as follows:

C:\Program Files\EagleEye Software Group\ShipEdit

In addition there is a "dat" folder in the ShipEdit folder.  That is where the compressed images for the UI's that ShipEdit displays are stored.  In addition there might be some text files there that allowed updates to certain controls without redoing the executeable.  The text files that I am talking about might only be in the newer alphas that Remus and I still work on occasionally.

What we have been trying to do is add one particular function in as well as make SE work on the final patches for EAW and OP ONLY.  Trying to make SE work with all the different versions, variations, rule and shiplist setups is what really shot it in the foot to begin with.

As to the function, it was that we were trying to get the source for just the model viewer utility so as to incorporate it into the ShipEdit utiutilityNo one said no, but then we could never get anyone to talk about it other than they seemed to think it would be OK.  Anyway that is where things stand.

  To Heavens Eagle

I would like to or have you thought about coming out with newer versions of both shipedits. It would be nice to see a newer version for EAW as there are no AMDs or ADD in the weapons selections and if you remove it accidentally then you have put it back in the shiplist alone.I have found away around this though and that is using SE OP for EAW and it works amazingly.

We are toying (for lack of a better word) with a final and last release of ShipEdit.  We really want to have the model viewer incorporated as well, but there is another thread on that one.  The final release will work with both EAW and OP final patch versions only.  As it stands (for the last 6-8 months) there is an Alpha version somewhat working.  All the stuff to make it work correctly with the 2 games is not fully compiled.  Might be 6 months might be a year.  Time, work and life and just about everything else is higher priority.  If we had some source code for just the model viewer so that it could be incorporated, that would be a huge amount of incentive to get it done.

the Frenchrt is not from shipedit, its because my windows xp is in French it just another boring windows error message, i have another problem with another game and it is windows that causing the problem since its Bende to work with all the windows from win95 to win xp, sometime m tired of windows causing problem with my game and software, remind me i got a problem with starcraft, after i play around an hours its just freeze, at the beginning i taught it might be a problem from something that wanted to use the internet so i block the net after i reboot but the same problem appeart again, it seem that the CPU or something is working too hard, not enough air to cool it down, but its seem that only doing that with games not when i watch a movie, the side panel to the com are not on place and i have check to see if there was dust blocking the fan or if the CPU was working and its fine and no dust, next time i got money i will go to the computer show and ask them if more fan will help, if i use sfc i don't have that problem, just losing ship in battle  ;D, sfc need more power that starcraft and rise of nation but it seem that its the only game not having problem,  why does computer hate us??? ??? ;D

I would take it to a computer technician and get them to look at it.This seems to be over your head from what you are describing.
