so far to date no luck with the DL. If some one could be so kind as to post a GOOD link .. I'll give er another whirl !!

Did you not get the disc I sent? It has the patch on it...

If you haven't gotten it yet, Priority Mail isn't what it used to be...sent it out three days ago....lol.

Fook....sorry, man. I double-checked it on my end before I sent it. I'll try again on Monday. I might send it overnight this time so you don't have to wait.

Don't feel bad Doggie. Let's face it .. we are still working with PC's here. They can do some strange stuff. When it did not activate automatically I opened up the CD drive through "My Computer" and attempted to manually activate it that way ( something I have done before).. When we looked in the drive .. there was not even the recognition that a disk was even there. Zippo !! Nada !! .. a blank file as though there was nothing in the CD at all. ( Really odd as you pointed out)

Oh well... I'll keep in contact via PM between now and Sunday PM.

For reliable disk reads:
Mode 1, single data track, and close the disk - this will allow almost all CD-ROM drives to read the disk.

I now have the OP patch.. if anyone from the SSCF reads this ... THANKS (a special thanks to Xeno corp)

BTW... it should be noted this is not intended to be a plug for a competing website. It just happened to work well for me (I'm still stuck on dial-up until I sell my Bass Boat)

thanks to everyone who has been helpful.

All that is needed now is the installer .... etc. That should be relatively easy. I will be gone this afternoon ( have to go work for a few hours) but we should be on this evening.

Cool, glad you finally got it. I have relied on xenocorp.net plenty for downloads, good reliable site. Its not so much the competition as a companion, like bozobits... This is a Taldren forums surrogate, which does the job nicely.
