Shiiiiii... You're getting karma just for that pic man, I loved the Alien, not the turd they turned into in the later films but the original creature and the elephant-dude's ship were just iconic. Did anyone ever explain why that ships was landed on top of an Alien breeding ground?
If I determine the enemy's disposition of forces while I have no perceptible form, I can concentrate my forces while the enemy is fragmented. The pinnacle of military deployment approaches the formless: if it is formless, then the deepest spy cannot discern it, nor the wise make plans against it.

Well acording to the original idea the derelict was just a side thing and that the Alien was from that planet(the planet had pyramids complete with hieroglyphics that showed the Alien's intentions and habits)...all that was later changed to the derelict ship carried the eggs in a silo, located just under the Cockpit where the "Space-Jockey" it the lower level of the Ship
Glad you liked her :)

Damn!  That looks freaky!  Really... Unique.  Keep in mind I didn't watch a lot of 1980s movies and movies before then. ;) But still, it's kinda cool, seems like a future alien ship of Fed configuration.

I wonder what WZ thinks of it...

Hail! It looks excellent! I love it...

I wonder, is there a Predators' site? If the Aliens are Xenomorphs (didnt know that was the species real name), then what about the Predators? How are they connected?

'Xenomorph' is not the Aliens' species name, it's more of a term for classifying the species, like 'mammal' or 'insect'.

I never knew H.R. Giger was responsible for "Aliens" and "Predator!" I only saw his name bandied about as an unconventional and great SF writer (and several Borg concepts that were HRG styled too.) This ship looks...organic, literally. Although you try to pull off the "organic" montage in all your designs Azel, to me, most end up looking like absolute crap, literally...

Except this one. ;D Why? Because it literally looks like the Aliens' took a Queen and genetically modified her to "grow" into a starship. A complete head section is sitting in the saucer, as well as ribs and scales! Then again, now that I think of it, it might be because that's how H.R.'s stuff is, which is neat really.

Though one question, I can't visualize the bottom aft portion of the sec hull. Are those ribs on both sides or what? Hopefully you can make this area a bit more visible in another render.

I seriously love this ship...

H R Giger is not an SF writer of any kind, he's an artist, he did not do the Predator, only Alien, also while he came up with everything except the human stuff for the first film - including the eggs, cocoons, ship, facehuggers, elephant men, chestbursters and the full grown alien, he did not do work on the later films (except I think he did the dog alien in 3) and the later films have progressively butchered his creation. Especially James Cameron's Queen alien and his mucking up the head of the alien to be flat with ridges all over it.

Giger's other work is all very bizzare phallic sexual imagery in the same grey, alien (as in not natural) style he used for the film. His painting of a phallic landscape is a good example ::)

Actually mate I don't make most of my ships look organic...only if it calls for it(prehaps you are reffering to my mate Core)
in any case, thanks for being so blunt...In if you are reffering that comment to me or anyone else...you need to learn some tact mate...I don't expect every/any-one to like any/all my designs...but I do expect respect for the amount of work that goes into my or any-one elses work...

Azel ..   bud you are without question one of the more talented people here.  I deeply appreciate your work sir.  For a brief moment I felt as though I was a small part of this part of the community.

Just seeing this sort of work is truly inspirational to the rest of us who are still "green" (even if some of us use to do this sort of thing and stopped some years ago).

Your work is absolutely superb.  As things change in the SFC community ( and it will ) ...  never lay aside this gift of yours.  Take it from some one who did ...  and listened foolishly to someone who suggested that those years were gone since the advent of the computer.

Thanks for sharing you talent with us sir !

Sorry about that. I know you work very, very hard at these designs, but I just cant stand the "ultra-future saucer-wing" type stuff you do on some things (like the Windrunner, and maybe the Enterprise-G.) To others that may say Trek, but to me it's really not suited to a Trek universe, but look okay on their own. I was being a bit of a n ass though since I forgot all about the Trek-Transformer you did...

I was going change the reply to reflect that but I cut my post short because I had to leave to help my mum, so what I hastily posted is like a midway rough draft. I usually rewrite half of my posts about twice over to get the wording right, and honestly wasn't thinking this time. :banghead: This isn't a lie to fix this up, though from the wording of the post you might as well ignore this whole damn thing...

I really mean it when I say that your right to be spiteful.  :(

If it means anything, you now have frist dibs on bashing a design of mine once I post it next time. :)

EDIT: Oh f*ck, was I wrong. I forgot about the E-J render, the Borg Super Assimilator, and probably the whole frickin' TOS-fleet (which do happen to be a majority of the Azel fleet...) WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING??? :banghead:
