Pretty funny....

but I don't know what Mac he was running... nothing I've ever seen ;)

I did get a kick out of the "on a PC, if you know DOS, no file is ever really gone"
On a Mac, someone should tell this brainic it's unix instead ;)
just a teeny-tiny-little-bit more powerful than DOS...

He does have two solid points:
1) IMHO, I also don't like the dock much
2) The menu bars follow Apple's strict GUI guideline (but apparently this fellow knows not of the bazzilion haxies out there for the GUI)

Still, it's funny: Thx Diehard

Dude, I have been looking for that for over a year, thanks for dragging that up.  It's hillarious.
I still like my iBook, though.   :P

As I said before, I swear Bill Gates saw that video and wrote Windows XP to match it.

Afterall, it locks up for no reason sometimes, goes crazy at all times, and doesn't have DOS...heck macs have something closer to DOS than Windows now days.  I would have liked it if MS had stuck to the real version of Windows, that of Win9x.  Now when I want to try a DOS game, 50% of the time it won't work! (though if someone knows about DosBox, I have it, but I can't get it to run the games, it seems to want to go to a Z drive or something).  Include that in that I was on a trip when my 30 day authorization thing ran out, and without my little cardboard cutout or internet access, I was LOCKED out of my computer, I was HOSED because of that little thing which XP decides to take control of your computer, even though it's your computer and not MS's.

Bill must have said...what can I do to make Windows comply with that guys statements.  Yes, I dislike WinXP if you couldn't tell.  I love Win9x...however because it's no longer supported...sadly, the more recent games don't work with it overall...

:(

Hilarious Short film though.  Seen it before.  I can relate to his rage (via XP experiences).  He should have used Win98 instead of a Mac, he would have probably felt less rage.  Or even WinME (love WinME, if you can configure it right for your computer, it runs like a charm, had one computer running it for three years now! Of course if it isn't configured right I've heard various tales of horror...but mine is configured right soooo!!)

When you delete a file in the windows or mac operating system it just marks the file as free space.

In either case, unless you overwrite the data with something else it is recoverable.

To be honest, I'm not totally sure what he's talking about.  None of my Mac OSs have ever caused me any problems like that, and I've never renamed a files accidentally.  Oh yeah, some of the things he complains about I've never had happen to me at all, like the click and drag thing.
Still, I have a laugh riot everytime I see this video.  Wish I could save it to me HD.

Only possible if he deliberately trashed a system file after giving himself superuser privileges.
Not exactly something you can do accidentally. Root access is also disabled by default on MacOS X.

Either he is simply trying to be funny, or he is an idiot.
I'm sure about the former, and can't speak to the second ;)

Well, if that's true, and if it hadn't been made before XP (I think it was) I'd say he probably got confused.  He was actually using WinXP instead of a Mac and got the two confused...

:P

I suppose he missed his WinME OR Win98SE at that point!
