NJ? I thought the only thing dudes were running outa da crib in NJ was online pr0n? Leastwise, all the sites t00l gives me are from this IP in NJ ... (lol, not gonna do that to ya DH)

NP Karnak, it rocks. Warped into a system this am to see a poor bastard in a starting frig in a running fight with about 10 pirates of various sizes. I told em I was coming to his aid, but apparently he didnt want/know  how to come towards me. By the time I got into firing range, he went poof. Finished off the rats and got all the crap that dropped from the dead ships. SWEET! AND got bounty money for the coupla rats I killed.

NP LeRoy, the game rocks, and its teamwork like an awesome game of SFC that lasts for hours, which really is the best part of ANY game. We have your addy in case you like it, we all agreed to chip in a few bucks each so you could hook up for a few months. :) Thank Kimmy for that idea! :)

Yeah, some of the SSCF and other SFC peeps have said they will go back to SFC, some have said they wont any time soon, if ever. Even one who is an Ace in the GSC unfortunately.

Im still tryin on GW3. DH, the twin monitor thing didnt make the single player lag I had last night (only time) stoopid ass billy gates decided to update at that time for some reason. Freakin winblows.  But, I tried single monitor, didnt fix the multi lag. Im stumped. Ill just have to try off hours. Bid on a CAD+, so I can hex(x) munch at least.

Although I very much appreciate the effort, the idea of moochin' off of other people just so I can play a game just doesn't sit well with me. I don't think I could enjoy the game knowin' that somebody else's hard-earned dollars are paying for my recreation.

I went to PC Gamer, they rarely steer me wrong, to dig up the reviews on the games I like to play and included EVE to compare:

FreeLancer:  http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2004-07-02f.html
EVE Online: http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2004-07-07e.html
Age of Empires 2: Conquerers:  http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2000-11-21ab.html
SFCOP: http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2001-10-04m.html
SFC3:  http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2004-07-01ag.html
Hearts of Iron: http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2004-07-01q.html
Man Of War 2: http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2000-08-17ai.html
Age Of Sail 2: http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2001-08-07r.html
War of the Ring: http://www.pcgamer.com/reviews/archives/review_2004-07-07w.html

Freelancer is rated higher (w/o any monthly fees too) than EVE Online. But, I'll try the free EVE demo to compare with Freelancer and see what happens.

Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that during the first half of the 90's, I also got addicted to sports card collecting...mnan, that was expensive!

It could be worse. You could be addicted to sky-diving, skiing double-black diamond runs, scuba diving with Tiger sharks, racing your sports car on the inter-states, casino trips to Vega or AC, etc.  :P

hehe..true dat.  My addictions are all relatively safe...they just tend to be financially troubling...lol.  Take SFB, for instance.   During the 80's I had to buy it all, whether I was going to use it or not.  I just "updated" my SFB collection about six months ago...spending another $200+ dollars on stuff I'll probably never do anything with other than read...heheh.  I still want to buy a few more things, too...as well as increase my collection of Captain's Log issues.  I have a very compulsive personality...heheh...

Doggy you and me both, when i got out out of high school, i started to buy SFB, all of the CLs, rule updates etc. collected comics also. so yeah, i am there w/ you... ;D

Oh yeah....that was one of my illnesses during my young Warrior days...I collected the Conan mags and also liked things like Sgt. Rock, Wierd War, Unknown Soldier and others....heheh.  I'm trying to remember the one about the Sherman tank crew...the title is slipping my mind at the moment.  There was also a cowboy one I can't recall the name of...

How old are you?  You don't mean US Tank Commandos, do you?

Cowboy comics?  Kid Colt: Outlaw, or The Rawhide Kid?

Nope...I looked at what remains of my clollection...Johathan Hex was the one I was thinking of...

One of thesen days I'll learn to use PM's too.

Not sure I can be bothered, but as you are the Doc, can you run an AI standard patrol in 2 minutes in a KRC? If so, there is no problem and I am utterly wrong. If you cannot, then the KRC is a worse ship for AI missions than ones I know can.

I don't like to PM people all the time now Cleaven only when I want to keep it it private.I used to PM members all the time at Taldrens and it meant them having to answer several PMs.There is a maximum amount of PM you can have in your inbox here I believe.

I'm sorry. I didn't realise you didn't want an answer.

Aos2PB is better.  Has better UI interface, fleet control, etc.

Saw that in the store today...almost picked it up.  Steep learning curve?  Just so you know...last time I played a "wooden ships and iron men" game is was "Pirates!" by Microprose!  :D

I moved on to the gold box AD&D games...then to consoles for a few years until I got my first wintell...

I played the Starcraft campiagns...

Played X-Com "terror from the deep".....Impossible to win IMHO...even with a strat guide...

Ahhh many a day off from school was spent with joystick in hand, killing a Kirov class missile battlecruiser.
I still remember some of the games I Had fighting a diesel electric wolf pack. Damn they could be tough to even find em, unless they were 1k away with 3 torps in the water.

Somewhere north of the Azores.
