No. Let's see if it happens again.
There was once a trio of people in a car, an engineer, a mathematician and a computer scientist driving to a convention in the mountains. At one point, they had to go down a very steep hill which also contained a tricky turn.
The brakes failed about half way up the hill and after some very dangerous driving they managed to bank the car into a gravel crash pile; Apparantly this was a problem on this road.
The three each suggested something, as the mountain road was sure to have another stretch like the one that nearly ended their lives.
"The car's old," said the engineer. "Let me pop the hood and check."
"No, I think it's the road," the mathematician replied, "Let me do some work on the angle of the road; The province will have to fix the road anyway if it's too steep for regular use."
The computer scientist, being what he was, suggested that old adage again. "Let's push the car back up the slope and
see if it happens again."
