"An unidentified man..."

I wonder how they found enough to tell that- or did they have to use some forensic methods.

That was definately *OUCH*.

The advantages of living in the Heart of Dixie- low cost of living, peace and quiet and a conservative majority. For some reason I think that the first two items have a lot to do with the presence of the last one.

T commuter rail tends to run at 40 mph, but weiging in at ooooo around a few hundred tons when it hits you, you're paste, I would not what to be the T Policemen/women to come upon whats left of a human being after such a hit.

Reminds me when I was a little kid.  An Angus Bull got lose late one night and wondered his way on to the local rail road tracks.  The bull saw an on coming train with its headlight on and must have thought that it was a challenge from another animal or bull.  The bull ran head long at the train before we could catch it and well ...  you can guess the rest.  It was one heck of a mess to clean up.

A track runs through my town.  I talked to a cop once, she said that they cleaned up someone on the tracks in town at least once a month.
WOnder what these people are thinking.  I mean, you'd have to be, oohh, i dunno, SUPERMAN to survive it, and I can pretty much guarantee that I, he wouldn't just sit there on the tracks.

Or fix this hole in a mother's son?
Can you heal the broken worlds within?
Can you strip away so we may start again?
Tell me, can you heal what father's done?
Or cut this rope and let us run?

Here in Oklahoma, there's a Little hole in the Ground Called Oolagah, and I was doing a ride along with a friend who was also a cop. Anyway's It's about .5 degrees outside, with a windchill factor of -20. An elCamino decideds to Run through a train stop, not realising there was a Highway on the other side of the Tracks. He Beat the Train, but went under a Semi's Trailer Partialy Decapitating the Driver. By the Time the Train had passed, Parts where Frozen to the Asphalt Road.

After Seeing the results personaly, I'll never race the Tracks as long as I live.

Man...I used to ride the tracks to my grandma's house...go down Brighton to the tracks, catch the freight train as it slowed down, ride it to Young St. and hop off...if you missed you were in Ellicott Creek and had to explain why you were wet....(all references are to Tonawanda NY..between Buffalo and Niagara Falls....)

I was riding the coaster up to oceanside awhile back after work. The coaster is a Amtrac commuter train that runs from downtown SD to Oceanside. Well anyways, someone thought it would be a good idea to comit suicide by stepping in front of the train. We stopped about a 1/4 mile away from the impact point. Nothing remained of the gentlemen (They found that out later with blood tests) that couldn't fit in a small plastic ziplock.

Guess I'm just lucky.  We had some train tracks just down the road when I was a kid and we used to to walk the rails all the time.  Of course, when we heard a train coming we got off of them (sometimes you could tell by the way the rails shifted/sounded) and we were not on a trestle either.
