I was just over at Ex Astris-Scientia, going through the designs at the EAS fleetyards, when I got to the Fabrux class tender. Checking it out, I noticed the credit for the 3d model says someone other than me. The person named designed it, but I built the mesh and textured it. I've never had to do something like this, and would like the advice of the community. It's not the best model around, but it did take time to do and I would appreciate proper credit. Thanx in advance.

Why dont you just talk to them and ask them to change the credits, dont go in guns blazing that wont help your case.

I'd agree.. take it from the perspective that he simply didn't realize that the mesh was yours.  Send over a package that includes the Taldren ModViewer and the ship and just say a "Hiya.. just a correction for your page.. Lance designed, but the mesh you're using is mine.. here's proof, no biggie, loves and kisses" ladadeedada..

I've ran into that myself, although not at Ex Astris as of yet.  In my case though, when I convert over something to SFC, I do like it if that my conversion wasn't ignored when it goes into another format from the SFC version, or if my textures are used elsewhere.  That hasn't always happened in the past, and I know that it'll happen in the future.  All you can do is to talk to the person that makes the error.. and hope for the best.

Dont be afraid to email Bernd at EAS, i bugged him with a couple of questions a while back, and even though he was always busy he was still kind enough to write back and was very gracious in granting my request, so go for it

Sent him an e-mail, along with a copy of the zip with the readme...hope that's all he'll need. Now the waiting begins........
