Tell u what, if I had the confidence I'd ever get out from behind this stupid router firewall, I'd be posting left and right how much the feddies are gonna die each time I encounter them. That stupid post Jeff or whoever made about them FDN's going to klink space, I'll tell u what, what do you get when u mix Dizzy's NHK vs a Kroma G-BCHF and a Father Ted F-DNH? U get a dead F-DNH. Cleaven, DH supposedly gave me everything I need to 'DMZ' it. Whatever that means, which I still have yet to do. Its a DLink DI-604, btw. Aside from that, however, its the ports Im confused with. I hear there are 3x I need, then some dude on GSA tells me there are some 12-14 port ranges!

Yes.

Yes you can DMZ your PC easily but it defeats the purpose of the firewall ie to protect your PC.

Yes you only need two entries to just play OP on the D2. (47624 TCP and 2300-2400 Both)

Yes you do need about 10 entries to play OP on GSA AND use all the GSA features like voice chat, making rooms, hosting games etc.

U have always been at the forefront of answering router questions, helping peeps like me. I thank you. I certainly dont think the router is helping me any concerning the firewall part. Need to call Dlink mb.. Mise well DMZ it. Course, mb if it will work, ill fix the ports.

If you are in the mood for a fight, I suggest you get pissing drunk, pick a fight with someone who will beat the living crap out of you, and get your ass thrown in jail for a night or two.  That should satisfy your primitive, childish pseudo-bloodlust with a healthy dose of reality.  We don't need smack-talk here.  We settle things on the field of battle and generally don't make excuses as you so often do when someone hands you your ass.  Please feel free to take another extended leave from the game at your earliest convenience.

Most likely because there hasn't been anything going on in a month.  Hard to flame something, when there's nothing going on to flame about.....

Also, the amount of posts here have fallen, again, probably due to lack of activity of the game itself.  I'm sure several people wont be around since they have found something else to do in their spare time.  Not everyone likes to come here and post in their spare time, they like to play.  I know a few more a planning on leaving after GW3  if there is another excessive wait for a server.

I have a Dlink 614+ router. They only way I can get to play SFC with it is to use a program called Port Magic. Opening the port ranges on the router for SFC is fine, but when it comes to the directplay server ports, thats when the Dlinks seem to have a problem. The ports for directplay seem to change from what I've observed and thats where port magic helps.

I set my computer in the DMZ and run port magic. It opens any ports needed, when required, then closes them down when I close port magic after I finished playing SFC. I also used to use a software firewall, but since upgrading to XP SP2, I'm trying out the firewall there. I successfully logged into GW3 last night with this setup.

HA! Aint it true! I am really looking forward to seeing what its like on the other side of the fence. Being able to smack the feddies this time, wow. Thats a change. Last I can remember... the server I did that on wasy CW6. My only other real stint as a klink besides the GW.

Will be fun to put all those cocky arrogant know-it-all freds in their place. With all the smack talk the blue guys do over how bad the KBF sucks and how easy it is to roll over the klink ships using castling and such, BRING IT ON!

The only break you guys have this server, is that DH tells me J'inn didnt seed the map with very many rocks. Consider yourself lucky in the extreme...

Hehe, funny that my excuses are so far and in between... Sp few times you ever hear that. I guess it doesnt matter how much higher my kills are to losses, but now thats a moot point cuz Im going over to Klink. The slate is clean now. If it's anything like it was when I flew Mirak on GW1, then u guys can hang it up right now.

As far as taking an extended leave of absence... I've been thinking about it, but I cant till after I kill Hexx (yes I know he's on my side, so the coalition better not give him a VC ship) and I smash you into a rock Lepton. bet you hit it on your own...

Nice mis-quote on what I've said about the KBF....but it furthers your agenda, so have at it.

And as for starcastling....I have did it maybe once ever....in a CCZ I think.  A lot of others don't as well.   As a matter of fact, some think it is semi-cheesy.
