And as for starcastling....I have did it maybe once ever....in a CCZ I think.  A lot of others don't as well.   As a matter of fact, some think it is semi-cheesy.

Yes you can DMZ your PC easily but it defeats the purpose of the firewall ie to protect your PC.

Yes you only need two entries to just play OP on the D2. (47624 TCP and 2300-2400 Both)

Yes you do need about 10 entries to play OP on GSA AND use all the GSA features like voice chat, making rooms, hosting games etc.

I'm using a Linksys Wireless router and simply run it in DMZ mode since I've had ZoneAlarm anyway. And now the WINXP service pack2 offeres the ability to allow or disallow program access to the internet with it's built in firewall program.(unlike before, where it had to be off or on) So running your router in DMZ mode should still be safe as long as you have another firewall program.
And gamespy always gives me the message saying some features may not work because I'm behind a firewall or proxie server, but have yet to find anything that doesn't work the way it's supposed to.

If you are in the routers DMZ and you have the software firewall giving you access to all the ports that GSA needs, then why should you have any problems?
