The very day after a server has concluded, er the very HOUR, er the next MINUTE, the next campaigns test server should go up. Testing of course is voluntary, and Im sure some will never want to quit playing, if they can have a good dyna 24/7, hehe, but each test server should run for a minimum, publicly, for two weeks b4 going live. That gives plenty of good time to test, and plenty of time for those needing a break between servers.
Nice in thought, but the current unplanned 1 month long breaks will prob be the norm.
There are a few different groups of server hosts and admins that independently have their own seperate projects and can have things stacked ready to roll as soon as one is done so the next can start, but very little coordination has taken place between them. In fact, fighting has broken out over whose server will be next, which puzzles me why there are 1 month long gaps between servers. I mean, SG4 was planned to start already, but other servers and their delays have pushed it back back back, and it may not start till late Nov now. It all is a little frustrating when it should all be a collective community effort and it is entirely possible for all us server dudes to get together, help each other plan and get 'er done'.
I'm with Capn Jeff. Keep the servers coming the sooner the better...
