Wow, it looks like they are doing more than WoTC is doing!  Of course WotC has problems admitting that D&D ever was anything different than 3e...

And of course, I've joined up in a Dragonlance Campaign (3.5).  I'm going to be rolling up my character today sometime...don't know what I want, probably am going to be forced to be the Cleric or a Mystic (DL version of a spontaneous caster form of cleric).

LOL... I'm wishing that i was in a place where people still remembered that you can play games that are not on a computer! Kids don't know what they are missing!!!

BTW, if anyone on here knows people at Auburn University that want to start a group....

Ahhhh the memories. I was introduced to D&D while stationed in Okinawa in 79. I remember that there were at least 10 to 12 of us playing nightly in the USO at Camp Courtney.  The looks we got from the other Marines and Air force personell while we were playing were priceless ;D

I have the opposite problem with my kids.  They sooooo want to roll play!  Right now we have them playing Silent Death (table top miniatures game) and as soon as Ferret is done with our Cyber Punk story arc we are gonna try out HARP so the boys can play too.  We decided that Punk was just a little to dark for our sons; they being only 9 and 10.

LOL, well, by kids, I was talkin about the 18-20 crowd on campus. ;)

I love the idea of teaching kids about pen and paper games- I'm certianly going to teach my kids D&D and Battletech at a fairly young age... SFB will have to come later! P&P games require a lot of person-to-person interaction and make for good social skills, unlike videogames.


D&D for 9 & 10 year old boys? Maybe do a Lord of the Rings campaign? ANyway, I hope that they absolutely love it!

I loved playing AD&D way back in the '80s.  Thanks for the link Stephen.


Edit:  Oh wow, did that bring back some memories.  I saw screen shots from product covers past that I haven't seen in years.  Loved the Gary Gygax interview, although I'm sorry to hear about his health problems and subsequent semi-retirement.  The whole thing brought back a lot of memories for me.  Thanks again Stephen.

Anytime Javora, and everyone. I was surprised to Here that Gygax was still smoking Cigars , But the man is a personal Hero of mine. The Particible Little Guy in the scheme of things.
