That's a very good point. I like It for backing up shiplist's Mods, etc.

Gmail even with the ad's has yet to bother me at all, and I personly Like It alot.

I've been waiting to Get one that I can share, However, i'm guessing with the Google IPO in the works, there are no more Invites. Of course If  I Manage one, I'll be right here with It.

Damn, I wish I had about 5 of them just to get you all started.

Yeah, I got the money for the guitar. I've even spent a good portion of it. Oh, I don't kow if I've said, but it sold for $4050.99. there was a little problem as they used the wrong email address. Once we realized that, things went very smooth.

I know you really want the gmail account but you could always use Yahoo mail. They now have a 100mb limit for each person. That is much better than the 2-4mb that you have now.

As for the invites, I think Staphen has nailed it on the head. With the new IPO and the number of invites that have already been given out, I don't think that any new ones will be released. If I get any, I'll pass them out as well.

I very much like how it groups threads of conversation together.  The only thing I'm curious about is how it handles really long conversations, and how it displays the name of all the participants in the Inbox.

The lack of ability to create folders may take some getting used to, as I'm very organized with my email.  The labelling concept is good though, and may prove more effecient.  Going to have to play around with it more.

My wife uses gmail for two of her SG-1 mailing lists.  They can generate several hundred e-mails in a dozens of threads every day.  It works like a charm keeping them together.

Great (I guess) that it worked out...got shafted by a unmentionalble in MI over an EKO jazz guitar..took my money (under $200, but hey) through PayPal..never produced...he's been removed from Ebay..but ya know...no one likes being stiffed....live and learn..just that I've become quite an avid collector of EKOs..eh, never let your hobby rule your life....

Take care..just got a google invite from Steve Smith..don't know which one as it's late...but thank you very much..will pass on any I get
