This is a tough one for me to decide.  Do we let any Tom, Dick or Ralph into the Presidential debates or do we limit it somehow?  It's like when they were having debates for last years Gubenatorial Recall in California.  With 135 candidates or whatever the number was, some people had to be cut or it would have become extremely unwieldy.

Do we waste airtime that could be used by the two men one of which is guaranteed to be President to make their points on someone who has no chance?

On the other hand, Nader and the other serious candidates have issues that they want to discuss on a national forum.  I believe they should have that right.

I think if you are a recognized candidate for president then you should have the right to participate in that process.  I think part of the reason third party candidates don't ever have a chance is because the big two lock them out of everything.  I'm not a fan of Nader at all but I think he should be allowed to run the race.

Ralph Nader is not on a single state's ballot, as far as I know. He has no business in the Presidential debates. The only other person running for president that is on all 50 ballots is Michael Badnarik, the Libertarian candidate. He's the one that needs support to get into the debates...

Quite honestly I haven't followed Nader enough to know if he is on the ballot or not, but with all the stuff in the news about the Dems trying to keep him off ballots I just assumed he was on some of them at least.  Anyway, I was making a more general comment on third party candidates.

Hey whats up, your nation in NS is starving ;) j/k

I dont think Nader should speak at the debate and I shall be brief, to be blunt Nader is a no body who as best is polling at 3% at best, if you give him the mic, then you must let the Greens, the Communists, the Constutional party the, Libertation party, and other on the stage, the ONLY reason I was in favor of Ross parot speaking in 92 is he was polling large and had a large support base,

The US a 2 party nation, and the only time a 3rd party should be allowed to speak as co-equals is when they have " The Juice"

and Mr Nader while would make it more fun to watchm does not make the bar.

my 2 cents from a guy who hase been folllowing this sort of thing for a while.

MJ, one of the reasons third party candidates don't have "the juice" is because they can not participate in election year events.  While Nader may or may not be a valid cadidate this year, if he isn't on the ballot anywhere then I guess he isn't and it's probably too late now.  However, I still think that the big two shut out any third party and it is to the American peoples detriment.

Perot had " the juice" in 92, thus he got to speak, im not in favor of letting all these minor paries co-equal status, they are not.

Oh and Ninja's, can't forget his Fight with the Ninja's.

Ok, Now for my serious part of this. As far as I'm concerned, IF the man meets the Qualifications for Being President, Let's hear him speak. I'm not particularly fond of Nader, But I would like to hear him out at least.
