Just the right amount of "evil . . . "
« on: August 07, 2004, 06:37:41 pm »
 to Evil Dave, the misisons in the current Corepack are EXCELLENT and a crap load of fun in single player.  The difficulty set to "1.0" seems to be perfect.  I'm looking forward to testing the other new features after GW3 is over.

Question which you may have answered already but I'm kinda dim right now . ..   If Base/Planet defense missions are removed from the MCT, can defending players still be drafted into Base/Planet assaults?

You betcha, the assault scripts (and their drafting of defenders) are completely independent of the defense scripts, so removing the defense ones willna cause any problems.

And glad you like the missions, thanks!

I agree. I have been testing the heck out of these missions and I have to say it's the best mission pack I've ever seen. Not a single CTD,no bugs. Very Cool Dave, thank you very much!!

I set up SFC2EAW at my parents (I have 2 copies) so I can play it when I house sit and my nephews and niece can play it when they stay over.  My nephews accused me of "hacking" it after I installed your missions.  They find the missions rather difficult :) .   I also write protected the SFC.INI file with the difficulty set on admiral, so no matter what they set the campaigns revert to Admiral after they reload.

Thanks.

I think that they needed to be shown that the fun is not in easy victories but in beating a challenge.  Though I did have to demonstrate that I can beat the missions before they believed winning was possible.

I'll have to mention your nickname to them.  I think that they will agree with it after having played your missions.

Don't mean to burst the perfect difficulty bubble, but I have been getting some DN AI drafts when I am only in a CL.  That's a bit rough.  These were typically 2v2s.  I believe it was an enemy partol mission of sort sort.

Tanks.   Pay attention to the mission srcipt name if you can so we can flush out what is whacky.
