“This is ridiculous.” thought LeRoy, “I can’t see a thing in these, how are we supposed to see the signal?”
Up on stage, she was building up to her, uh… climax, and started to execute her BIG finish. Using the… pole, at the end of the gangway, she launched herself into a spin while balanced right up on her toes (claws) of her left foot. She spun, perfectly balanced, back towards the entrance. Moving her arms and right leg up and down to create the illusion of a changing shape, she spun toward the entrance.
However, she stopped at a pre-decided point and slowed her spin. Holding out the right leg at an almost impossible angle, she fell to the floor in the full splits, with her front and face flat on the floor. This meant that her full, ahem… ample posterior, was exposed to the Kzin section.
This movement was executed just as LeRoy took off his glasses, whereupon he immediately knew darkness.
M’ress waited until the lights died down before he took off his glasses. She was leaving the stage when he looked over and saw LeRoy, unconscious.
“That’s the signal.” he thought.
K’arbin also took off his glasses with his free hand and upon seeing LeRoy, jumped up and dropped the stick on the table exclaiming…
“Upon the Maker and all that is holy, I swear didn’t touch him!”
LeRoy’s eyes fluttered open and looked into a bright light. He had a most unusual dream. He dreamed he was surrounded by partying Kzin and had just been flashed by a Male… or was it a Female, Gorn.
Oh… the horror!
He sat up and rubbed his eyes. His face was all wet, probably from the tears caused by the flash, and then shook his head. When he could focus again the first thing he saw, was the blue peering eye of a Kzin. He startled and looked quickly around.
Oh crud! It wasn’t a dream.
There were two Kzin watching him close up. One had an orange face and the other a chocolate brown face. The blue eye belonged to the chocolate one, who also had a large pitcher in his paw.
“I think he’s coming round?” said M’Ress
“Yup, his eyes are open and moving.” said Steel Claw.
“How do you feel?” M’Ress asked LeRoy.
Realization slowly came back to LeRoy, M’Ress must’ve doused him with a pitcher of water to bring him ‘round. But bring him back from what? He quickly thrust the memory aside.
“Good Lord! What was that?”
“A warning, keep your glasses on next time.”
