What's your favorite humourous music?
« on: July 24, 2004, 10:40:20 am »
Just flipping through my collection of CD's, and started listening to Dread Zeppelin..kinda hard to beat LZ being sung by an Elvis impersonator to a Reggae sound  :)

Gotta have fun on rainy Saturday

Ray Stephens... hands down; he could do any style of comedy music he chose, and also be serious.

Weird Al would be a close second.

Just found Frank Zappa's "Apostrophe" again..."Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow".

Then there's Arlo Guthrie's (original) "Motorcycle Song"...

I got too much stuff

Then there's "The Pause of Mr. Clause"

Weird Al puts on an AWESOME show.... He & his band sound better than probably 80% of the original 'artists', and he's just a riot to watch him perform!

Hoi Folks,

It may seem strange but as much as I enjoy Frank Zappa, and the likes of Victor Borga I find a great deal of humour in the works of Lennard Cohen.

Take care,

We've seen him twice in the last year.  Once in October and the other time in April.  He totally rocks.

I wish he would come to Hawaii!  That would be one of the few concerts I would even concider bringing my kids to!  They just eat up his stuff and can sing it with out the CD playing.

I'd have to say offspring with their new CD Splinter.  Two songs come to mind: Hit That and When you're In Prison.  The second one is excellent, and is great for educational purposes too.
