Question for the car peeps
« on: July 29, 2004, 11:42:48 am »
This is going to be quick, since I need to get to sleep for work tomorrow and its already 2 1/2 hours past my bed time and I cant sleep ( its 9:30am right now ).

I am looking to finish off the work on the engine of my car around the end of september, when I have the cash saved up. My problem is I am not that much in 'the know' as to what I should do.

I have a 91 Integra LS. I want to put turbo in my car and I already have my first part of it, my Blow off valve, its a TCC Work BOV Type 1. I also have cold air induction.

What I am needing is a good turbo setup, what manufacturer is a good one? I was thinking Greddy but damn, $3300 is a bit steep. I could possibly buy used but then I wont have a warrenty. I what thinking of possibly buying everything peice by peice, might be cheaper. I plan on doing all the labor myself or with help from my co workers.

One thing I was wondering, anyone know what kind of upgraded fuel injectors I should go with? I know I should upgrade my fuel pump to around a 255 but I dont know what companies I should go with. Any idea's or suggestions would be nice. I am not making the car to race, I am adding turbo because I love how it sounds and I am upping the HP a little because at my cars current 135hp to the wheels, its lacking a bit. I figure, if I am going to keep my car for as long as I live or until it dies, I might as well make it into the car that I have always wanted but not spend $30,000+ on it.

This also gives me something else to talk about on here. I have been AWOL because of work and life in general and maybe it can give us car people and audiophiles something to talk about.

Speaking of Audio, whats a real good Rockford FOsgate 4 channel amp nowdays? I am looking for about 250 watts a channel for my panel speakers in the car.

That is all.

I came, I saw, I came again
