Who's model did you put those textures on? Was it one of WZ's Sovereigns? Also, just out of morbid obsession, would it be possible to see the same kind of textures on a refit Constitution?

I think the President should not travel with an normal Sovereign, a Dreadnought or Command Cruiser should be better at all

Federation One...just sounds better, and makes more sense. Air Force One is named after a military branch of the nation, so the military style name here should read Starfleet One...after all, the Federation President is Supreme Commander, Starfleet.

Should be Starfleet One, not the four in the poll. Although, UFP-1 looks good as the registry. Maybe have a fleet of presidential ships. UFP-1 being the sovereign. Our current president has several planes for different perposes. The Federation would also do the same.

And it's originally a civilian design. Comparitively, if Bush was to have a plane like this, it'd be a B2 rather than a modded 747. I've always thought that the Federation president would travel around in a CL or CA with heavy escort.

Fury, although I'd commend you on a job well done, and it is, I don't believe Starfleet would have a Sovereign for a president's ship of that era. It's more a fanboy ship of someone who thinks "Sovvies are cool!" and imagines themself as the President of the UFP, with a "cool" ship armed to the teeth. IMHO, the Galaxy-class model kitbash this ship is based on fits more perfectly to what it should be, considering how a Galaxy-class is more a huge deep-space explatory ship that Gene wanted it to be...

...So despite on a good effort, I'm sorry but I feel I must say it was sort-of wasted as it isn't as realistic as it would be with a Galaxy-class, or something smaller yet is still an exploration-type of Starship (I.E. Intrepid, or New Orleans, or even Cheyenne-class!).

Once again, I'm sorry to criticize you in this way Fury as you have done a good job, but I feel it isn't the right vessel.

i would somewhat agree with this line of tought, but in my opinion, both the sovvy & galaxy are way to big, a smaller ship would be much better, since it is easier defendable by its escorts, just imagine a intrepid hiding behind a sovvy would work better then the other way around, me thinks!!

but fine work nevertheless!

a tought : why not make an entire fleet with these colorschemes??

I have to agree with Chris on this one,though you've done a fine job,the Galaxy Class ( or a varient there of ) is better suited for a diplomatic role, so I submit these for your consideration..........

The Sovvie's as much a Hot Rod as a Prometheus or Defiant is, or even a Delta Flyer, without those parts...

If a Federation President can file a lot of papers, do some end run arounds and stuff, yes, perhaps he could have a Sovereign, but it is very-misrepresenting. It's a hot rod/battleship hybrid, like the Defiant being a hot rod/destroyer-hybrid. That's my perception of things here.

Also, I think it should be Federation One, even if it makes more sense being StarFleet One considering the President's airplane is not United States One, it's more diplomatic-like, and more representing, much like a heavily-modified Galaxy-class Starship, or Galaxy-class-esque Starship like a Cheyenne or Intrepid-class would, if something smaller makes more sense...

But here's some suggestions as to what not to use. These are suggestions derived from Ex-Astris Scientia's Starship Database.

Class Starships (Seen in TNG and DS9-VGR) not to use:

-Akira
-Constellation
-Constitution (If this was the TOS or TMP-era, then maybe. Reason I included this... I'm not a big fan of "Troubles and Tribblations [DS9]. :p )
-Curry (SEE: Excelsior Study Models)
-Defiant
-Excelsior Study Models (or maybe any Excelsior-kitbash or the Excelsior-class ships themselves)
-Freedom
-Miranda (and variants)
-Nebula (They seem too-mission-specific considering pods and stuff... I.E. Carrier, Science, Combat, etc.)
-Niagra (Too kitbash-ish)
-Nova (Too small, too combat-like despite being a science vessel)
-Oberth (Smaller than even the Nova! And even more like a sitting duck/free target practice)
-Olympic (Eh, not too appealing, a ship in Q's own conceptual future timeline for Picard in "All Good Things..." [TNG])
-Steamrunner
-Prometheus
-Peregrine (Too fighter-like)
-Phase II ships (They look like they could be put in a more NASA-ish Science Fiction show)
-Saber/Sabre (however you want to spell it)
-Scout Ship (From Insurrection -- Why would the President want a small one-seater?)
-Sovereign (highlighted since you're already are using this)
-Soyuz (As of 2368: "Soyuz-class? They hadn't been in service in over eighty years." -- Geordi LaForge, I just wanted to quote him, which is why I didn't include Soyuz in Miranda Variants. )
-Springfield
-Steamrunner
-Sydney
-Tug boat/ship (Who'd want that pile of junk? lol)
-Yeager

Just some helpful hints in finding the most practical Federation ship suited for the President of the United Federation of Planets.

GotAFarmYet? retextured a Constitution to be a presidential transport and it looks very realistic. Looks like something that the president would use.
