Since this isnt actually about SFC

What would you guys like to see in a Star Trek type game?

I like the races and the concept of the Dyna from the SFC games, the "building" aspect from Armada, and the 3D "tactics" of Klingon Academy.

SFC 1 and 2 and bridge commander have been the best I've played.  What I'd really like to see is another game like Bc that was easier to mod, add ships, etc, better missions, better plots, better dialogue, etc.  Also, the option to move aroudn the ship, or actually, the necessity to move aroudn the ship sometimes.  Like, say, if your bridge is damaged too heavily in a battle, you evacuate to a secondary control center.  Saucer seperation as an option on the galaxy class, player designed manuevers and tactics, and something I have not ever had the pleasure of seeing in a ST game personally: exploration missions.  Real ones, with first contact, surveys.  I'd like to see the need for shuttle craft and transporters.  Away missions that in a shuttle or venture class, for example.
Too much?

Basically, you want you own 5 year mission to seek out ew life and new civilizations. to bodly go where no one has gone before. And all the things that that might entail.
Only in America .....do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

I'd like to see an SFC style game where you had a higher view of the battle, and with control over multiple ships.  But with as much detail on the control.

I rarely played SFB with just 1-3 ships.  We always did fleets of 5 or more, with fighter wings, P/F's etc.  I miss that big-battle action.

I'd also like to add, If they could get some of the writers from those old Text games, that would be kinda cool.

Too bad they cancelled the Borg Assimilator RTS game.  That would have been nifty.

Don't feel too sad about that.  A buddy of mine was involved in the beta, so I had a chance to see him playing it.  It was crap, and nothing but a poor knock off of Majesty.
