DarkMatrix appreciation thread.
« on: July 24, 2004, 02:00:40 pm »
Well DM may have moved on to other projects. Just wanted to say I appreciate all the efforts he has made to improve the SFC gaming experience.
Can't think of anyone that converted more ships to SFC format since I been here.
I also enoy his original Borg ships and pre-TOS as pre-TOS was meant to be before B and B got hold of it and gave pre-TOS post TNG era ships.

So DarkMatix, heres to you bud. Ya da man.

Well said!

Somebody should contact the Guiness Book of World Records to get Darkdrone in it as THE model artist with the largest number of conversions, kitbashes and original works.

I hope everything is ok with him as he has not responded to my hails...

DD/DM is dah man!  In between his Borg ships, his BC conversions, and his porting of Trekmods' stuff, he should be in a SFC modeling Hall of Fame if there was to be one.

Oh no, he's still around.  Can't we just randomly "We're Not Worthy!" someone without reason?

When I first tarted off, there were a few people that gave some time up to a total newbie and helped teach the basics to.  And then after a while.. that newbie went to one of them to ask how to convert something from one game format to another.

I wouldn't be here helping you guys if it wasn't for Lord Vader and Darkdrone.  Everytime I release something here, it was at least partially because of DD and LV.  :D

I'll miss seeing DD's latest, that's for sure..
..ooOOoo..totally useless information..ooOOoo..

I'd just like to say DD is the king of conversions!

I have always admired his work in SFC. He truly is one of the greats of SFC Modding, and on top of that he is a great person. Just an all around nice guy. Where ever he goes I wish him good fortune and great success!

I want to add a note of appreciation to this. Who can deny that Starfleet Command wouldn't be the game it is to day without his efforts. Many thanks and don't feel you like you burned the bridge behind you.

I agree..  I too owe him a personal great big thanks for steping forward...  he put togeather the "Advanced Light Cruiser"  aka X-CLC ... kept his word .. and did an OUTSTNDING job on the mesh.  I still do have enough thanks for him and those who did the texturing ...
