Someone here Please point me in the right direction....
« on: July 21, 2004, 07:12:26 am »
My Daughter wants to DL'ed some songs, she said she's heard that there are some places that charged a small monthly fee for unlimited DL's... :skeptic:

I told her no-more Kassa or whatever it was, I got a virus from that thing back when I had ME and had to re-format... :cuss:

So she asked If I could find one that was acceptable to put on the computer..... :help:

Thank You.... :)

Have you tried the Apple/Macintosh web site or the new Napster site?

Personally, I use Apple's iTunes.

$0.99 singles, most albums $10
You buy it, it's yours. No subscription that must be renewed. No virus worries. Completely legal.
If only it were more than 128kbs.... (like I can hear the difference ;) )

iTunes also lets you set up an "allowance account" for the kids (or wife..lol).

Just for your information,

I've used Kazaa and/or Limewire for a LONG time now, well, long to me, and I've never gotten anything even remotely dangerous.  You just have to know the difference between .exe and .mp3 and .mp3.exe
