Looks fine to me, though you might want to remove the details from the 'rimrht' and 'rimlft' saucer textures.

Angle those pylons up and it'll look like a Romulan defected to Starfleet's starship design team.
j/k with you. It looks pretty good, man.

i had this whle story about one getting lost all on its own thru a wormwhole and trying to make its way back.  that was around 1990

Lol she's good. Hmmm I wonder how the a warpcore is being placed in such ships. It must be very thin - maximum 6 decks. There is not enough space for the warpcore under this blue lightening element called impulse deflection crystal. Nearby or rather under those elements in most cases there are hidden warpcores within the hull :) Hmmm this creates suggestion that this vessel is a short range type :D

Keep it up :) Nice work man :)

Or maybe they just layed it in horizontal with a curved section at one end to connect it to the deflection crystal? That's how I explain all the ships with not enough height for the core.

I'm pretty sure Doug Drexler did not design the Akira or any of the FC ships, don't think he was doing stuff for Trek back then... I thought it was John Eaves who did the Akira?

Akiras Steamrunners and Sabers were designed directly for DS9 and then used in FC :)  ;D

Other way round mate, they were designed specifically for FC and then weren't used in DS9 for a while untill they had the budget to blow on a big FX battle by which point the Norway mesh had become corrupted which is why you never saw the Norway on DS9.

Tell me what name and reg and I can do them in a couple o minutes in CorelDraw, with the nice red bits, I've made a template to redo registries on WZ's ships as I've done so many kitbashes of them.

Oh and I think you got beaten to the patent office as either Jackill or SOTSF did a ship almost identical just with straighter pylons back in the '80's and it's in one of them manuals, it's called the Shanks class light cruiser IIRC
