When I found out, I didn't know what to say, or if anyone knew quickly... It's a sad day to see someone like him pass away.  He composed some of the best music ever produced for motion pictures.  Even now, I still don't know what to say... But I think Mudd here summed it up... For those finding out like I have, lets do have a moment of silence for the guy.

Good composer...may he rest in peace...and compose in even a greater arena upstairs.

Yes, I think we are all going to mis his artistic skills indeed.    :(

I wonder, does anyone know how old James Horner is?  I beleive he composed the music for ST2 and ST3.  I really like how he did the music for those ST movies aswell.  He also did the sound track for Aliens (one of my all time favorite movies of all time).

He composed some great scores.......... May he rest in peace.
The Star Spangled Banner bring hither,
O're Columbia's true sons let it wave.
May the wreaths they have won never wither,
Nor it's stars cease to shine on the brave.

Another one of my favorites.  Born August 14th, 1953, he will be 51 next month.  He scored "Star Trek 2" and "48 Hours" back to back when he was about 28.  Pretty amazing.
