It's the most recent nvidia driver. Went back one and it runs fine now.

Aha, I had that problem with a few games (but never had EAW on my HD at the time).

Launch SFC2 from Starfleet2.exe.  Bypasses the videos and the 2K/ XP keyboard problems.
