In case people were wondering how I would handle the Sha'Kurians, here's a sample of the text I've written for them for their light cruiser:

Class: Light Cruiser (CL)
Like all large Sha'Kurian vessels, this class was once a carrier of fighters.  After taking in the Seltorians that were fleeing from their defeat at the Klingons and Tholians, the Sha'Kurians gave up their fighters and support systems in favor of upgrading their warships with advanced weapons.  At over five hundred meters in length, it is quite large for a light cruiser and is double the size of the Garnet-class of their new chief rivals, the Tholians.  Some Klingon observers have quipped that all this ship would have to do is to turn sharply in order to destroy a Tholian ship.

Sorry, I have to cheer for the Tholians. ;) Nice "falvor text" though, VERY original.

I myself have been using WZ45s "headings" and inserting excerpts on specific ships from websites like Klingon Academy and the various FASA Trek websites I frequent.

I'd love to get  a copy of your SFC3 defaultCore and DefaultCoreLoadout Ratboy.

BTW: is there any way to completely remove from SFC3 ALL the TNG ships and replace them with comparable ships from other eras? For Example: Replace the  Galaxy with the Ulysses, F'klhr with Riskadh, etc... I am one of many that want a COMPLETELY TMP mod that would include the Sha' Kurians maybe somebody should make a Klingon Academy to SFC3 mod and replace the Borg with Andromedans...

Tholians, you say?

Class: Heavy Cruiser (CA)
The first cruiser-sized Tholian vessel ever seen by outsiders, this is code-named the Ruby-class by Starfleet.  It was first encountered in the late 2270s.  More powerful than the Quartz and Garnet-classes, these ships can still be found stationed along the jealously guarded borders of the Tholian Assembly, ready to attack any large vessels that stray too close.  Several Rubies were part of a force that attacked Starfleet and Romulan forces roaming in the Devolin asteroid belt in 2310.  In 2355, Starfleet Cadet William T. Riker discovered a sensory blind spot in this class of vessel that allowed him to ambush one in a simulation.

I thought the Seltorians were actually beaten by the ISC and were infact completely wiped out - the ones in our galaxy that is, good riddance IMO - who actually plays Seltorians in SFB?Oh and I would have thought the Sha'Kurians wouldn't be as stupid as the Klingons to take in a race of really really fast breeding giant cockroaches, I'd have thought they'd just turn them away meself.

SFC, not SFB, remember?  In SFC2, the ISC was beaten by the combined might of all the other powers.  I doubt they found the time to commit genocide when they had to go on the defensive.

Also, do you know what giant, fast-breeding cockroaches are good for?  Slaves, or some such.

A few may be good for slaves but they overran several Klingon worlds, I wouldn't trust 'em, I'd just open fire but ehy, I'm not  a Sha'Kurian. Oh and does SFC2 end in defeat no matter which campaign you play? As far as I'm aware it's not got an official 'ending' as such so you've just chosen the galactic powers campaign to base your history rather than the ISC campaign, where I'd imagine they win. Ofcourse in SFB nobody won, they got as far as the Lyrans but then the Andromedans arrived in that timeline.

but ehy, I'm not  a Sha'Kurian.

Maybe bugs are part of a balanced diet.

Well, since for several reasons we couldn't use the Selts, but we needed something to throw at the Tholians, I decided to try and merge the Shaks and the Selts somehow.  Considering how both the Tholians and the Klingons were out for a lot of bug blood and how much whizzbang tech they were willing to hand over to the Shaks in exchange for sanctuary, plus the fact that a lot of the Sha'Kurian clan elders wanted something to rally the people against, the pairing seemed natural.

I picked the non-ISC ending, if only because I needed to select something that would protect the Trek timeline.  One would think an event like getting your butt kicked in a major war would have been mentioned on an episode of TNG.   ;D
