Topic: Where to buy SFC3? (Read 1309 times)

Hello,

I live in Slovenia, Europe. I'm trying to find a new copy of SFC3, but so far I haven't been successful. The game is not available at any of the stores here. The biggest video game store has one used copy in stock, however I don't buy pre-owned games that require a CD-key in order to play them on-line. I've asked them about it and they said that there is no guarantee that their used games come with a valid CD-key, so IMO it's pointless to buy them. Furthermore, they mentioned that it'd be extremely hard to find a new copy of this game, since there have been very few copies of SFC3 sold in my country.
It seems that my only option is to buy it online, but every site that I visited tells the same story: out of stock. Is Activision not distributing this game anymore? There seems to be some demand for it, but no copies are available... Only used ones at absurd prices.
Anyway -> if anyone knows of a store that has SFC3 in stock, delivers to my country and accepts bank check as a payment method (you know, like Amazon does), then please let me know. But I'm not getting my hopes up, considering the situation.

www.iogc.net - they should have a copy, I'm pretty sure they deliver internationally (though I'm not 100% certain). They have new copies of both SFC3 & SFC OP.

Amazon's second hand service is pretty good (it's where I got SFC OP) - you should be able to get a fully working second hand copy from there with a fully working CD Key.

you can check ebay, i will ask around and see if i can find a new copy of sfc3 for you, also i will check if my copy was use to play on the net and if not i will sell if to you for a good price.

it seem that i can log on line, since i don't play online i have stop before giving a email address to it, so if you want you can try this copy and if you can't log on line to play i will refund you.

And the answer to the last question is.... no. Activision is no longer distributing this game, as they are undergoing a lawsuit against Paramount over the Star Trek gaming license, and thus they are no longer doing or distributing Trek games.

Also, IOGC.net seems to be able to get ahold of copies of the SFC series. Just ask VSFTie and He'll hook you up.
