Early WIP Late TNG Advanced Light Cruiser
« on: July 18, 2004, 04:34:31 pm »
It's just cut 'n past stuff ..  but here is the early WIP ..  note that we have not yet added the roll bar and nacelles ..  if there  is enough interest ..  we'll get that done soon.  The following should be noted as well:

1.  We were trying to do too much of a conversion with the original release of the SeaWolf class .. there will hopefully be a refit ..  the details will be ready by this time next week ( I hope ).  Those refits may not be quite as extensive as originally planned.  If this design is completed and a modeler decides to do it .. that would seem to make better sense.

2.  Thanks to Joker for the initial review on the matter ..  I had been pondering the idea but was not quite sure wheather or not to go with it..

3.  This particular version is not intended to be a heavy battle cruiser or follow in the foot steps of the Nebula class ...  It is, however intended to follow in the class of the Miranda ...  and the SeaWolf class Advanced Light Cruiser.

Input appreciated

thanks

Are the hull details from Trekmods new and as yet unreleased Sov?

No, just wondering.  I doubt they'd mind a pic bash that doesn't get turned into a model.  The concept looks great though.  Maybe they'll let you adapt it for a joint project or something.

"pict bashes" ... and painted sketches are all I'm capable of ....  i do not have the programs necessary to do kit bashes thus creating models. Besides ..  this one is modifed too much on the top-back-1/4 of the primary hull and the underside as well to do a simple bash.   If we did create a functional model...  we would be certain credits would be given.. Additionally...  correct me if I'm wrong .. aren't ya suppose to have the permission of the person who did the original wire mesh and the textures before you do a kit bash on their work???

Frankly as far as this pict bash is concerned ...  yeah  i have to admit  I really would like to see some one pick this one up and run with it.  ( subtle hint dropped here)

Thanks for the in put guys..  I kinda was hoping  this would work.  Sort of one of my better ideas ...  it flows really good.

Thank You  :) Thank You very much.

You don't know how warm & tingly that makes me feel

So since the one I made is more or less in the same size class as a heavy cruiser, will this one be more along the lines of a light cruiser?
