They cheated.  Coming up with the Gene Splicing, mutation thing so that anybody can use ancient technology on the second episode?  Just too pat and easy.  That should have waited until episode four or five at least.

I thought it was funny how quickly everyone was to shoot, hit, push Rodney off a ledge.  I hated that character on SG1 and I totally hate him here.

Hmmm, it hasn't shown here yet...but well we are supposed to HATE Rodney anyway.  I'm glad they haven't made him easier to like.

20 minutes into this episode of the show, I'm liking it.  Great use of the kids, and the gene splicing...well, like the Doc said, it would be illegal to try it on earth, although it might be in testing...

What they should have done with the creature is sent it through the gate to the wraith's world.

Kill two problems with one dial up.

Not quite so easy - remember that gate was in space - we don't know that the creature could survive that - but regardless, the wraiths' home is a starship.  They might not even be there anymore.

Now we know, the wraith's ship is gone.

The funniest line of the night goes to the scottish doctor.  "Captain, it looks like you've picked up a klingon!"

In a personally funny incident, we were watching the ep and right after they got stuck and started having the debate on how to rescue, I paused it, said gee, all they have to do is move to the front of the jumper, and then when the gate closes they pop through.  My wife and daughter disagreed.  I unpaused it in time to have someone on screen say the same thing and someone else debunk it.

The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that Wier looks too much like Michael Jackson. Oh how I hate that..

That is a particular resemblence I hadn't picked up on.  I'll have to watch more closely.  We had picked up on Teela being a J'Lo wanna be look-alike.

I had hoped the show would get better.

I enjoyed Stargate which earlier last night.

Sat through an Hour of VoyagerGate and decided I would rather have watched Mikey build a chopper instead on the Discovery channel

I missed it again.  I cannot believe I missed it, but I did!  I hope it plays next Wednesday.

Kortez, if you have cable and can afford it... get a DVR.... the thing rocks....

Just set the thing to record the entire series....

DVR's are our friend!

My wife actually got the best line out of this weeks episode with her accurate naming of the alien plant.

Tonights episode was okay.  I was shocked that they hadn't done more planetary exploration.  I mean isn't that the first thing you would do?  Find out if there are other life forms on your new homeworld?

It's good the Athosians are pretty much out of Atlantis.  I considered them to be a distraction.  Teala's amulet being a secret transmitter seemed a cheap shot and I wouldn't have brought the Wraith back to the base.  I mean they had no way of knowing for certain whether they could adequately contain him.

If you noticed they didn't know how to open the roof hatch for lack of a better term. And yeah I agree I wouldn't have brought the enemy back to my  home base.Bad idea there.

Back to Atlantis was the only place they had to bring a Wraith and contain one safely.  The first thing that struck me though was they left him his clothes.  Given the tech level, there is no way of knowing whether his clothes include weapons or a homing beacon - I'd have stripped him.

The other problem is - they know the Wraiths are telepathic - what they don't know is what the range is.  It is possible that the Wraith they are holding could indeed act as a beacon for the others.
