I thought it was good. I like the characters, thus far, especially Becket (wasnt sure if he was irish or scottish). And I like the idea, the concept, being marooned on a city they now call home...id love to live there.

I love the fact they bring in other Tv and Movie references.

Jack O'Niel (thats with 2 L's) tried to pimp the official name for the Promethius to Gen. Hammond.
All of the Wizard of Oz statements.
Okay Kids often repeated by Jack and a few MacGyver jokes/statements placed in for good measure.

And now to bring you up to date on the past 8 Season of SG-1..... Wait a Minute 8 Season.. jesus ...shouldn't we get a Cake or something?

I like the fact that the characters are really well fleshed out have their little quirks. They also do a good job in showing what you might call their human side. I remember one time when Carter was telling O'Neill something complicated and he interrupts and asks, "are you telling me that you can make him visible? That's all I need." Cater showed the frustration really well. Another one was in Frozen. Right after they arrive in the Antarctic O'Neill throws a small fit and Teal'c give him a questioning look. O'Neill looks back and states, " I forgot to tape the Simpson's." Teal'c responds with an "are you serious" look. O'Neill responds, "It's important to me." Small things like this really set it apart from other shows, at least to me.
Only in America .....do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

broadcast TV is a year behind cable here, so it will be a couple years before I see atlantis too.
