Did anyone here play FASA Crimson Skies?
« on: July 13, 2004, 08:27:50 pm »
I bought the set a few years back (after getting the PC game and loving the chance to fly for Dixie) but could never find a group to play with.

Did/does anyone here play, and are there any sights where you can find players?

Man I thought you were talking of the X-box game.
I used to have the pc version. I need to find that game,  I love it but I stopped for the same reason.

If you have the X-Box version and Live service.......

No X-box game... is it worth anything compared to the PC? I got the impression that it was not at all like it.

If it was in the same league as MechAssault was in comparison to MechWarrior3 then... well, I'm not too sure about it.

Actually Carney, Do You have a Review of this Game? I heard about It in a few Mag's awhile back, But I trust others here more to get the Good and Bad when It comes to games.

how does It compare to Microsoft's Flight sim Games?

The X-box Battletech game was more dumbed-down in comparison to the PC version than SFC3 was to SFC:OP!!!

I really hoped that the Crimson Skies game would not be- I love those 3 .60 caliber cannon in my McDonnall SB2 Kestrel!

Naw! it's not like the PC but, it's fun none the less.  All I can say if you know anyone with a box and a Live account, give it a try. But it's not the same breed of cat as the pc version.

It's an old agme, based on MS Flight Sim 2.

You can find it in a lot of stores for $9.99.

It's got a really good single player campaign, and theree is an online mode that I never used *old connection was too slow.*

You can mod the weapons, armor, and engines on the planes via a system based on componet weight. The size of the calliber really matters, unlike in some flight sims.

It's kind of a pulp fiction setting... here are links to a few sites:

I had to buy a new stylus and ran across a copy at COMPUSA.

So, let the bodies hit the floor
Did you find a copy yet Stephen?

We're going to have to do this in the Zone right or does Lamespy support it?
