Nope, haven't seen Nemesis, partly because of the pans it got on the Taldren boards and partly because a TNG movie just didn't seem right to me...

<rant> ...and also partly because I swore I would never go to a movie theater again after going to see the second Matrix movie in the theater - I listened to people eat and talk the whole time, couldn't hear a thing. I just couldn't believe all the eating, crunching and crinkling of wrappers... you'd think moviegoers had never eaten before.. I developed a theory that junk food bingers/bulemics(?) like to go to the theater and hide in the dark to crunch and crinkle away where no one can see them - it was that bad... really, I'll never go to a theater again to be subjected to that... I had a hard time containing my rage, I just sat there and stewed in it for two hours, I didn't just walk out as I was with a friend and I did want to see the movie... </rant>

Perhaps I'll rent Nemesis soon and have a look. I guess that would explain why this flying conglomeration of starbases they call a ship seems odd to me... I wonder how many crew there are on that "ship"?

Just read the upper right hand corner of the SSD. "Ignores all non-temporal defenses" is just a fancy way of saying you can't stop that thing from killing everyone on your ship when it fires.

Don't worry about it Bonk. Thalaron was just some goofy contrived superweapon/plot device they made up for the movie. Hopefully we'll never see it again. Why'd they even need that thing? The Scimitar could probably just waste the entire planet Earth itself.

Well, isn't that number rounded down or something? 1 crew unit on the SSD = X amount of people, or something? Besides, the Scimitar really wasn't that big. If I read the size comparisons right, it's the same size as the D'Deridex-class warbird.

that and the fact that the new praetor didn't really trust a lot of pepole to be in control of a ship that power full thats way the ship probably was mostly automated nor a novelty seance Scott got his Little constitution ruining from the bridge if you remember that one

On an SSD, one crew unit equals approximately 10 beings. Each one of those boxes would be a crew unit normally, but since they're mega boxes, each one is 10 crew units! So 3000 officers and crew on that ship.
