so i have this Ubership...something goes awry.

Okay so, I added the Scimitar to SFC:OP, using SFB stats, according to this, at least:


(note, each beveled box is worth 10, instead of 1).

So i gave it a total shielding of 7200
I Foward Hull of 740
Center Hull of 280
Aft hull of 480
Cargo of 280
Excess Damage of 330

And yet, when i get shot once, no matter the weapon. It says im taking hull damage, and it shows damage textures on my ship - yet my ship takes no actual damage.....whats going on?

So if the Krenim temporal ship blows you up by erasing you from time, does that mean that the battle technically didn't take place?

nothing strange about this i knew this  for quite some time the engine wasn't designed to calculate so many digits not to mention zeros that you pot their id wait until the engine is modified and then place the exact specs on it BTW if you try to convert any TNG CANON ship to SFB stats the way they are you will get the same results

Some of the Weps in SFC OP do cause your ship feed back damage,  PH A   and PH B i believe. Happened on the RDSL campaign. Even though u dont take damage u still get it from firing.

I didnt fire a single thing when that happened....besides, i was at full health - full sheilds. The moment the enemy fired at me, it yelled at me for having internal damage - even though i hadnt receieved any...plus the damage textures were applied to my model.

One would have to think that you have set the numbers of certain aspects of those specifications higher than the game recognizes. You might be able to compensate by substitution. Such as maxing the shields out and rolling some of it over into armor. Perhaps it would be useful to start listing the maximum parameters of ship systems in this thread.

It is also pretty useful to squirrel away some SSD's, like you have done with the Scimitar, so one can find a home for some of these models that don't have a specification available in SFC. (Long sentence, No?) I've been doing so for some time because of this necessity. Like what to do with Terradyhne's Bertaa? Perhaps an interdiction carrier? Or a D8? Haven't made my mind up yet.

I think if you base your ships on ADB SSDs you'll find they work fine in SFC (it is based on SFB...), you just need to account for double internals and a few other restrictions imposed by SFC.

Of course it won't work... it's totally ridiculous... I'm sorry, no offense intended, but thats the way I see it.

You forget, Bonk, that the Scimitar post-dates all the SFB ships you know by over a century, so it wouldn't be surprising if it went to town on a fleet of D7s.  Plus, the loadout is fairly close to what Worf said in the movie.

Bah, a fleet of D7 would whoop up on that stupid thing. They'd just paste it from 80,000 km for hours or days or whatever until it went down. (On second thought, that cloak would be a problem... ::))
