Anyone thought about trying to make...
« on: July 08, 2004, 05:59:32 pm »
...the ship below?

One would assume that it's a Vor'cha-class, but it isn't.  It's acutally a Qang-class ("Chancellor" in Klingon) ship from this particular book series.  You'll note the subtle differences in the bow and the aft section.  There's specs for it listed in the book called The Brave and the Bold: Book 2 that make it sound like the Klingon equivalent of the Sovereign.  It's slightly larger than the Vor'cha and has more weapons, including quantum torpedoes.  Plus, with double the number of crew and troops, this sucker looks like it was built to conquer planets all by itself.  On the Generations at War classification system, I'd call her an 'advanced dreadnaught' (XDN).  Anybody want to take a whack at him?

Along with the aforementioned specs.  There's a difference between the schematics and the ship on the above cover.  I prefer the one on the cover, since it looks sleeker.  Maybe a certain skilled and renknowned artist we're all aquainted might like to take a stab at perhaps blending the two together to make a set of drawings for modelling purposes...  ;)

Only difference I see is the missing sensor pod...now it looks like a fighter plane with a rear stabilizer. ;D The bow looks the same to me. :P

desty nova also has a vorcha style vessel that could either be pre-vorcha or post vorcha, depending on how it is armed
