Should I get an All-In-Wonder graphics card or should I get something from Dazzle or Pinnacle Systems?

It Depends. the All IN Wonder cards I would suggest , as I think they have caught up to Dazzle. The first Dazzle I had Hooked up through the Printer Port on an old PC. It worked ok, But If you can Get The Info flowing More directly, It always helps.

Actually, what I'm lookin' for is a good, yet reasonably priced device that will record analog video (i.e. VHS cassettes) onto my computer to be burned to DVD.

I have an Alli-in-Wonder 8500 DV.   i do not even own a Television.

IMHO, you are better off buying a seperate card for TV capture as it gives you more options for upgrading.  next upgrade will likely be an X800 and a PCI/USB TV-Wonder.
